Amazing soundtrack and it brings back so many memories. Rally Championship 2000 was the first "real" videogame I got! I was maybe eight years old, and I was not even a fan of rallying. And here I am in 2022, listening to this soundtrack while flying my Peugeot 306 in Wales and Scotland again, this time in Dirt 2.0. What a soundtrack. 🤘 A few months back I discovered some old footage from 1997-2000 British rally. Seeing that Vauxhall Astra or Volkswagen Golf or Skoda Felicia (driven by Stig Blomquist!) in those familiar liveries and on those familiar roads was a real nostalgia trip. Thank you for this amazing upload! 😎

I see the KZbin identifier recognized "Fran in Japan" by Space. Check out this beat. It comes through entire soundtrack. Especially 12:01.

@@bublik462 Wasn't he sample that beat directly? XD

both artists probably used the same drumloop from some commercial sample library.

Upconverted to 44100Hz, not true CD quality. I did an analysis.

how can you make the right analysis of music if youtube compresses audio and video for publication on the site?
@jjperro33184 жыл бұрын
@@bublik462 It compresses the bitrate but the sample rate remains the same. Now, check the capture in this link: i.postimg.cc/B6pyCx7W/zzzzzzz.jpg This is the soundtrack playing. Do you notice the "mirror effect" in the high frequencies? (You can check it for yourself using an audio editor if you don't) The "mirror" is placed at 11025Hz. That's a sign of an upconvert (it means the original file is 22050 Hz, not 44100 Hz) Those frequencies above the "mirror" are extrapolated, not real.
@bublik4624 жыл бұрын
@@jjperro3318 Initially it was 22050 Hz, forming WAV Compressed, which gives 44100 HZ at the output.
@jjperro33184 жыл бұрын
@@bublik462 Which means it's upconverted. There is no such thing as "22050Hz compressed and then when decompressed it gives 44100Hz at the output"

Look for NFS III Hot Pursuit soundtrack here in youtube. There is an Oficcial release of the soundtrack (real 44100 Hz) and then compare to the "full soundtrack" as extracted from the game , also 44100 Hz, but upconverted. You should notice the difference.
