Mistake here wasn't wearing war gear .. it was not getting your own wall down.. if you had destroyed your wall even without gear you would have capped him And he didn't want to try again because he knows if he tries again while your wall is down he will be capped for sure

This game is stupid, you wouldn't have capped either way because your wall was up. Thats why Oleg always sets without testing, he already knew you were trapping, so he goes with the proved and tested method of burning traps. Its so ridiculous that the castle wall, which is supposed to protect your turf, has become a hindrance to your defense against mix rallies.
