Ralph Bellamy shares stories from his performances in ‘Trading Places’, ‘Pretty Women’, and ‘The Awful Truth’ in this conversation about his acting career. He also share his experience about starting the union in this in-depth discussion. The following interview was recorded on May 10, 1989.
This career retrospective is part of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation's Legacy Collection, a series of unique Conversations, recorded between 1979 and 2012, with influential actors and pioneering performers who explore the process and profession of acting. These interviews were captured on a variety of physical media formats and recently digitized in order to share with actors and the public at large.

This is a wonderful interview with this great actor who left behind many memorable performances. His insights near the end about the acting profession and his harsh but true views are valuable.

Hi, It seems to me the list of accomplished actors who did NOT go to New Trier High School is much shorter than the list of those who did. 😁
