I think because Ralph was so private is why when people look back that his solo success is slept on. He was big during the era when his 1st album came out. It went gold on presales alone, then quickly went platinum and later double platinum and he was everywhere during that time.

I remember when Ralph was gonna sign me and my group from Jacksonville Florida in the 90s through a chance meeting of his cousin Carmen tresvant ...I was a fireman in Brunswick Georgia... I met her she managed a nursing home and I gave her a cd and she sent it and he called to just making a longer story short..I’ll never forget it ...much respect to this dude.

Such a great exclusive interview. Sway been talkin wit legends since Wake Up Show blew up Hip Hop in the Bay. Love how he’s showin Ralph love and makin sure he know The Bay got love. My older cousin is Sway’s age & I thank my Cous for playing New Edition music during all our car rides!
