I really like your videos as well. I have a 1500 tradesman with the single pipe exhaust and I did a muffler delete, replacing the muffler with a piece of straight pipe. The muffler shop bent the pipe slightly to make it fit better, added hangers for the mid section and welded the whole thing. I like the welded pipes because of no leaks and won't loosen up.

I enjoyed the video. I did this a few weeks ago on a 13 ram with 6000 miles and found it easier to just take a sawzall to the pipes that exit the muffler, and cut as close to the muffler as i could. Florida truck but the rear exit pipes wouldn't budge. Worked out good, I opted for the muffler delete from B2 fab.

Someone put an Aero diesel muffler on my 2012 Ram before I bought it. It sounds great, but does have some drone, especially when the MDS kicks in, then it sounds like a diesel.

When I installed my carven bolt on I had my tips stick out like that too. It does look nice but be careful when dropping the truck... the control arm bracket on the axle will hit the exhaust pipe on harsh bumps. Never punctured a hole but did see the contact is was making

Nice video 2017 ram r/t I went with the sweet Thunder Exhaust tabs were already cut fit perfectly at stock weighs about 10 pounds lighter than yours it's a baffle resonator exhaust. Guaranteed not to have drone made in USA in Cadillac Michigan excellent product there's a KZbin video on KZbin of how it sounds will never have any other exhaust but that it's made like they did for the Z28 Camaros and Corvettes in the 60s and 70s makes the Hemi sound really beefy deep deep tone.😀

No vibration and its not annoying or loud on the highway which is one of my biggest pet peeves. I sold my Carven for that reason but this is much more quiet

I have the same muffler with adapters I made myself. It’s a great sounding muffler. It will get a little louder after a month or 2 but nothing crazy.

hey i just looked under my truck and mine is reversed from the way you put yours in. the straight section is on the lower clamp and the bend is higher/closer to driveshaft. not sure if that will help with the tips or not

Yeah that was the exact complaint I had with the Carven. The Carven sounded great but this is much more tame. Its pretty aggressive outside the truck but inside is much more tolerable.

Have you done any sound testing with tail pipes off from the muffler? Just headers Y to OEM Muff? I'm going to tinker with mine when the rain stops and probably just put some temporary turn down tips on the two coming out of the OEM muffler while im drawing up and trouble shooting a custom system i plan on getting too. Oh i keep forgetting to tell other people with Mopar. Moes Performance has some nice pieces for some competitive prices, im looking into getting my long tubes from them, but going to need to fab up the Y they have with cats and to also make it a true dual.

I put in a Carven exhaust kit on my Ram but the previous owner had a Magnaflow muffler welded on to the truck so I had to cut it off from the end pipes side, then I put in the carven and the end pipes barely fit on but they fit and I drove around for a bit and one of the pipes disconnected from the Carven. I decided to just remove both end pipes from the new system, should I find someone to weld the end pipes to the Carven? The way I have it now it’s just the new system so all the exhaust smoke leaves through it about halfway from the size of the truck just a little after the cabin because I have a single cab, that being said should I be concerned about the end pipes not being there? Does it reduce my mpg? Or is it a hazard at all to not have the endpipes?? Thanks in advance

I would just be more concerned about idling and having exhaust fumes under the cab making their way in or hot exhaust gases burning wiring underneath. Thats about the only hazard I can think of though

Nah there's not really much to be gained from bolt on mufflers honestly. Even with my electric cutout open or closed at the drag strip with full flow it barely makes a difference

@@BoostedMotorsports Great, do you know if they had a y pipe for them. If you haven't noticed, the y pipe is crimped on one of the header down tubes that lead into the collector. I would think it would hinder the flow of exhaust.

On the B2 the hangers come welded to the exhaust clamps that slip over the exit! 👍
