Put Amsoil sever gear in that transfer case my Dodge 3500 4x4 5.9 cummins.

Sever gear is for diffs but my manual 6 speed has 2 quarts of Lucas oil stabilizer full synthetic and top it of Amsoil sever gear and I shifts the best and very quite and it has always been quite.

I use the factory recommended and buy from the dealer. If I ever have to rebuild the trans I will be switching to amsoil

Got them from the dealership. They will give you specs and part numbers.

When not in 4WD - does any part of the internals of the Transfer Case turn (Putting Stress & Heat to the ATF) ?

Yes because the front axles turn all the time and that turns your differential which turns the driveshaft and that turns the transfer case all the time. 4x4 lock up happens at the back of the transfer case and transmission.

Its not made out of aluminum. Its made out of magnesium and its not a transmission. Its a transfer case.

1st of all I learned what the transfer case was made out of a short time after I posted the video. 2nd of all I did call the transfer case a transmission accidentally at some point in the video but as you heard I called it a transfer case several times and the title says transfer case so you already know I didn't need to be corrected on that. So whats your goal here??? It can't be to get recognition now because anyone that watches the video and sees your comment will know you're just a prick. You will have to find out which transfer case you have and look it up on the chart. Should be an ID tag on the back side of the case.

Yes around 25,000 on the first change and 2nd change 75,000 when I filmed the video.

@@isolateddieselperformance3261 oh wow with it being as dark as it was do you pull heavy pretty often? I’m about to change mine here in about a week and wondering how it’ll look. Bought the truck with 138k on it and have about 146k now and I’m not sure when it if it’s ever been changed

I don't pull heavy to often. It was darker because I went over on the fluid change. Needs to be changed every 30,000 miles. Good practice is every 15,000. I don't have to change mine often anymore because I installed locking hubs so the transfer case just sits till I need 4 wheel drive.

How are you liking the locking hubs and if you don’t mind me asking about how much did they run you and about how many miles are you changing the fluid after installing the Hubs?

Mine looked a little darker on camera. Locking hubs are awesome! They run about $1800 for the ones I got. With the locking hubs you can just change it every time you service the transmission. Thats what I'm doing anyway!

@@melvingibson4525 I'm glad you did too. As easy as it is I like to change mine more often to keep fresh fluid in. Way cheaper than a new transfercase.
