If you read Lee Iacocca, Akio Morita, Jack Welch, they got great success by connecting with the workers in particular and the world at large on a human level. People don't just want what they ask for, they want the opposite person to listen to them and sympathize, fraternize. This might work in the Film Industry, this coldness and aloofness. If someone does this in life, he will be friendless and die alone. Steve Jobs and Elon Musk have managed to be successful without being nice to people, but again that's in the rarified world of Tech. A maverick in a creative field with easy access to loose women can live like this. This style doesn't work for regular managerial jobs. This doesn't work for family men. This Friedrich Nietzsche, Arthur Schopenhauer, Ayn Rand, Don Corleone, Luca Brasi, Martin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola, all this is getting a bit repetitive. I never overlook the fact that RGV is the son of an Annapurna Studios Sound Engineer. He isn't sui generis. Many of his ideas are borrowed ideas. And he owes his breakthrough to his Award-Winning Sound Engineer father., who put him in a private Engineering College in Vijayawada, gave him the luxury of spending time on his terms as a student, without the compulsion of focusing just on his textbooks to get good marks and a good job; gave him a social circle and the opportunity to pick ideas from books and movies at leisure; because there was no pressure. He may not care much about society, he may not be reverential to his mother and respectful to his wife and daughter, but he HAS to acknowledge the fact that his father gave him this life. His parents might have had sex just for their pleasure and he might have been born as a result of that, like he said. His mother might have given BIRTH to him as an act of nature, but his father has given him this LIFE, he is the product of his society and the circumstances therein, along with the influences like books and films that would have shaped him. A bit of him is his own, but large pieces of him are his father, his community, his college, and the culture around him. He is not sui generis, period. And his ideas are not applicable everywhere, and his lifestyle and life choices are not suitable to everyone. Let me say that his Time Management tip is particularly laughable.
