I am convinced even today that the common RSS pracharak has a different outlook from the seniors up the chain . The seniors have a mix of bottled up non-confident Hindu spirit which you can see even when they covort with Islamists at their iftar parties while the political outfit (BJP) shames other parties for their iftaar celebrations. 2 days ago, Indresh Kumar of RSS was seen eating something from the hands of a maulana at the iftaar party while the criminal who took the lives of the 2 hindu children , was carried off to great fanfare and crowd for his funeral. On even days BJP says it has not taken thekedaari of Hindus and on odd days they sing paens of Hindu unity while increasing reservations and playing low brow tactics of divide and rule. Lack of any other political party for a strong pro-Hindu ONLY stance is a serious letdown. INC was never an option and commies will side with Islamists before the shake hands with the Hindus.

Ghar wapasi at the scale you are thinking of, is not going to happen. And it has nothing to do with restoration of temple. In fact, there is a case to be made that restoration of cultural /diety spaces have a far better effect on the future of the land than the return of people who left the fold 3 generations ago and have been radicalised to prove their allegiance to the sky-book. Ghar wapsi could have been done within the first generation. OR in a liberal truly secularist republic where the radicalisation is frozen. Better to save energy and focus whole heartedly on the power centers of the Devatas.

Restoring temples and getting the right to rule temples is the necessity of the time for Hindus. If the temples come to Hindu money and power will come to him automatically. The religious conversion is for money and power. So it is natural for the Christians and Muslims to convert back to the rich Hindu society. For that, how and who in Hindu society should control the temple should be demarcated very clearly to avoid looting of the temple by unfaithfuls inside the Hindu community.
