Honest question: Apart from the features of UConnect 5 that you mention, what is the appeal of this giant screen exactly? My TRX came with this in it, and I can't stand it. Not having HVAC controls - especially for seat cooling/heating - is so annoying. You start the truck up, and you have to wait for the UConnect to boot up, give you the warning message, then you have to tap in different places to adjust the seat temps, cabin temp, etc. If the profile memory would save the seat cooling/heating, it would be fine, but it doesn't. Having to spend time EVERY time you start the truck waiting for this goddamn UConnect screen is so annoying. What was wrong with the physical HVAC controls? Why do people need screens this big when they're supposed to be watching the road? This whole trend makes no sense to me.

You would need the Uconnect 5 Module, Uconnect 5 Screen and the conversion cables

You need the vin of the radio you are trying to unlock: Your radio code = needs your vin Donor radio code = needs donor vehicle vin

I have a 21 Ram 2500 w/8.4 screen. Just want to go to the 12 screen. If I find another 21 with the same UConnect Version would it be plug and play or do I need to do programming? Thank you!

The adapters and cables only apply to if you have a none navigation module if your uconnect has built in navigation the it uses the same module the only things you will need is the obd adapter and the scanner that has the alpha program on it and a android phone/tablet to let you use the scanner

@ my truck had the 8in display but it had built in navigation some do and some dont if you can press the uconnect button an see the navigation you dont have to switch modules just the displays

@ the 8in display is what i had in my truck if your display has navigation the only thing you will need is the new display and the obd code reader to reprogram the display to your module

Been looking at the Alfa tool does the on ur store obd and bypass work for a 2022 ram 1500 classic. All the ones I saw plug into the green and white connector

Yep 2022 classics security gateway module is behind the radio screen

Where can I find converter cables? I didn’t see them on the website. Also, is it plug-and-play for other cables used in the current UConnect 4, when porting over to 5?

UC 4 to UC 5 Plug and play cables are available here: www.weekndgarage.com/products/uconnect-4-to-5-retrofit-cables Besides the 5 converter adapter cables the rest of the cables will connect directly into the UC5 module with no additional conversion required

Yep all you need is the UC5 module, UC5 Screen, Alfa OBD and our conversion cables. The vehicle shown in video is a 2020 8.4 so exactly the same as your setup

If you upgrade from UC4 to UC5 that feature will not work. Exisiting UC5 to UC5 larger screen that feature would be carried over
