Nice board I have 2 M65-B boards as well. Just want to add. After 3 years of experimenting with almost every switch available and contrary to many people saying they're scratchy etc... The Novelkeys creams are easily my all time favorite switches - especially on the M65- B . In contrast . Although the oil king's are way smoother and deeper - they feel kinda sterile compared to the creams . Taste in switches varies but for me - the NK creams after a year of breaking in are a perfect combination of clack and satisfying typing feel . NK creams are endgame switches for me .

Brass plates underrated for sound

very interesting to see the hotswap layout for 65% use both a 7u space bar and split backspace, definitely haven’t seen that before! I wonder if the sound with a non metal plate (perhaps either a PC or PP) would be more to your preferences. From what I could google, it’s mounted using some sort of silicon between the plate and PCB, though it honestly almost sounds like a top mount board to me.

I believe the board only came with a brass plate option, which is not my preference. So any other plate option would have to be a custom. The silicone is like an early version of the PE sheet in most modern keyboards but overall for both the u80 and the m65 i think they are both too hollow
