Breaking your fast as early as you can when the adzan is called is considered a good thing. So, most muslims at the mosque will be breaking their fast with something light like dates (kurma) and/or kuih when the time comes. Then they'll go do the prayer and then come back to eat proper meal. Depending on some mosques, sometime they'll eat first and do the prayer after.

The box is just charity money from muslim to the mosque. Usually the money will be use to pay the electricity, repair buildings, help the poor, give people food or for any event in the mosque. The money will circulate back for the needed society. There is no minimum or maximum amount. U can just put according to your ability and sincererity. Certain mosque has board and mostly has annual report that shows how much money they collected and where the money had been used at. For muslim teachings state that in our money also belong needed people money. We are encourage to give wealth for any kindness purpose. We believe that by sharing will not lessen even a bit our wealth. However, if u're poor and not able to give anything. Just a smile to other people is already enough and already consider a kindness in islam. :)

Actually, sharing in malaysian culture and especially within the muslim community, is 当たり前のことです。It is normal to cook extra and share with our neighbours especially during Ramadhan. And normally, we will also receive something in return. The concept is called ‘sedekah’ in Islam, which google translated as 慈善活動。あってるかどかわかりません。

It’s normal for any mosque to provide Infaq(in arabic language) or charity (sedekah in Malay) boxes so that ppl can give charity either for the mosque used or later also can be distributed to the needy people. It doesn’t matter how much u wanna contribute or sedekah your money. The more the better. In Islam we are getting the rewards from Allah when we do good deeds as well as when we do the charity. N usually those manner being teach from early age. The reason u see the kid put some money in the boxes
