Ramadan is the most sacred month of the year in Islamic culture. The month of Ramadan is spent by people of the Muslim faith fasting during the daylight hours from dawn to sunset. At the end of each day’s fast, Muslims gather for Iftar, the evening meal to break their fast.
From dusk until 3 am every evening from 21 March-20 April, more than 70 food stalls will transform Lakemba’s Haldon Street into a vibrant, global food bazaar with traditional cuisine from Indonesia, Burma, Pakistan, Lebanon, Cocos Islands, Syria, and more.
