RAMAKRISHNA MISSION ASHRAMA, KANPUR

Ramakrishna Mission and Ashrama, Kanpur is located in the heart of the city Kanpur. A part of Ramakrishna Math and Mission, Belur Math it is engaged in activities in line of the motto of the Mission - 'Atmano Mokshartham Jagat Hitaya cha' - for one's own spiritual enlightenment and welfare of the people of the world.
Besides the daily puja, the Ashrama is engaged in various activities like running a charitable Dispensary, running a School, a Library with a reading room, regular spiritual discourses, providing tuition (cleas 6 to 10) and to economically weaker children (upto class 5) for their overall personality development including extracurricular activities.
Youth Conventions are also regularly held involving Schools and Colleges where besides spiritual discourses meditation sessions are held. Bhakta Sammelan are also held
The Ashrama is also engaged in regular relief activities where it provides cooling drinks to the man in street during hot summers and winter clothings during the severe winters. There is also a regular preaching session at IIT, Kanpur which has been going on for lat 50 years.
Finally, the setting of the Ashrama is calm, serene and is a pleasant surprise from the busy city life outside.
