Ramakrishnan Murthy: Ragam Kanada

The centrepiece of Ramakrishnan Murthy's recital at the Crossroads festival in Manipal was in Ragam Kanada. He began with an alap accompanied by Charumathi Raghuraman on violin, followed by a Thyagaraja kriti called Sukhiyevaro in Adi talam. NC Bharadwaj and Chandrasekara Sharma went on to play a tightly constructed thani avarthanam. Kumari Samanvi and Radhika Shankar provided tambura support.
