@@zach071591 Yeah, it's very safe. Even at night. Just be careful about "accepting" any "offers" from a very few people standing around promoting (like handing out leaflets or cards) certain bars/restaurants/some kind of service like karaoke. Because some of those belong to yakuza (or are ran by them) and they charge exorbitant amounts of money. But if you're a foreign tourist they'll most likely leave you alone anyway because a lot of Japanese people tend to not initiate the first interaction with foreigners (maybe due to fear of speaking English or another foreign language to them).

Tempe Arizona is starting to look like this.. A little. It's like a modern city, built around a lake they built and extremely clean, and there is a bicycle/walking path around the lake and everything is kind of condensed in a commercial district built around the lake and the ASU sun devils stadium.. You have a big "party" place called Mill Ave with a lot of clubs and restaurants but also nearby apartments and condos.. Buildings are NOT that tall though in AZ or Tempe.. There's a rather large 24 story condo being built on the lake right now and it's gonna be one of the tallest buildings in AZ.. And there is a light rail but the light rail is completely useless, SLOW and just took up extra lanes that could have been used for vehicles, the only people that take it are a bunch of homeless crackheads to get to where they need to panhandle and be homeless at, the light rail was suppose to pay for itself, it didn't and the taxpayers got slapped with the bill..

Is it getting worse though, in the US? Do you have any sources/statistics that back this up? People's perception of safety has changed sure, due to online media that wants to grab your attention. But I don't think cities in the US have become less safe. More likely the opposite.
@deuswulf61932 жыл бұрын
@@herman65 It is getting worse. The MCCA covers the rising crime in major US cities, and while you might find a small dip in rape and homicides from 2021 to 2022, its still up by a massive margin compared to previous years. "The New York Times looked at 37 cities across the US with data for the first three months of 2021, and said that overall there had been an 18% increase in murders compared with the same time period in 2020." "They found that the number of homicides declined slightly in the first half of 2022 compared with the same period last year, but the homicide rate is still 39% higher than the first half of 2019." "It also points out that other categories of crime such as assault and robbery have increased over that period." It is objectively getting worse and the US has went from having a high trust society, to a low trust society, which is almost guaranteed to happen when mass foreign migration happens. Keep in mind the laws that limited migration and citizenship in favor of careful planning were removed in the 60s, which it took a decade or two to finally see the damage of that action.
