Not a vlog, no intrusive faces or talking, pure Japan only.
Had free time and it was raining. Why not to film?
I expected it gets dark early but miscalculated.
Map www.google.com...
Time 06/11 4pm
Filmed in UltraHD 4K 60p with Lumix GH5 camera, 8-18 f2.8-4 lens, Beholder EC1 stabilizer and Audio-Technica AT9946CM mic.

Yeah, it’s the flight that really makes it difficult. I’ve found a bunch of AirBNB where I could stay for a whole month for under $1000 USD, but the flight alone would be around $1500 each way, and it would be my husband, myself, and 2 kids, plus an older kid if he decided to go. So we would be looking at $12,000+ just for the flight there and back. It’s simply not feasible. I did find out I could fly to some place like like Sri Lanka from the US first, and then to Japan, and save SOME money, but it’s still incredibly expensive.

this gave me like a moment of realization that all of these people have their own life going on. Like, I was aware of that beforehand, but seeing all these people doing their thing, like this one guy running through the rain carrying a package, I dont know, its just cool to see and think about, because all I really see is either my own life and to a certain extent the life of my friends and family and co-workers, or the life entertainers portray to have, and I dont really think about the life of complete strangers from the other side of the world. There are so many people I will never meet and all of them exist still and have their own stuff to deal with, I would love to switch roles with them for like a day and see what their life is like, just to get a bit of a I guess new perspective.

There's actually a word for this feeling: sonder. It's the realization that the people around you each live individual lives completely different from your own. After learning about the word I never stop thinking about it when I'm in public places. It's just a really cool thing to think about imo.

If you walk down the streets of any town or city in England, there are thousands of pieces of gum or various unidentified things mushed into the ground. Japanese people hold a lot of respect in their culture(s), the architecture is also beautiful, would love to visit there someday. Edit: the zebra crossing though, we have those in England and people stop immediately if they see people waiting at them, strange little differences.

The downsides of letting people who dont care for the community into the country. We rarely think about it like that but the street doesnt care if there's a garbage lying on it, people care. ikr? I love America, Seattle born and bred, but most of our major cities are basically trash heaps. You can walk 5 minutes from city hall and find two bums fighting over a bag of hot dog buns. There are potholes that look like they belong in Felujah Iraq. A friend of mine in Army was posted near Baltimore and there were sidewalks with weeds so thick it looked like the yard outside an abandoned house. Japan is the best.

(Idk how true all this is this is just what i have heard and seen) Well for Japan they have less free choices in their school system. Also they have the tendency to overwork, i dont have them on me but their overtime statistics are insane and they then after have to go out for drinks with work so have little free time and their work is very demanding. The high suicide rate is obviously bad and is slightly resultant of this. They arent always that ecofriendly with their insane urban sprawl and illegal whale hunting they make excuses for. Japan also accepts barely any immigrants. Low birth rates. Rural areas are dying. They are still quite sexist if u want an example there is a video by rachel and jun on it ftom recebtly that is heart breaking. Theres probs more but idk it. On the other hand Japan is clean, can be ecofriendly with electric car investment, is technoligically advanced e.g. bullet trains that are smoother than normal teains here and robots and does important research, has preserved culture while modernisig, has some unique food culture, etc. Im sure you know a lot of positives already. Here is the video on sexism kzbin.info/www/bejne/il6riKKCi6-Xpbs

It looks good to a tourist; however, as a local person living in Japan your life will be extremely displeasing. Why do you think they have such a high suicide rate? Additionally, you will be extremely controlled, having different views will have you be shunned by the entire nation. Japan has many faults within it for its residence, and I could expand on it a lot more, but if you are truly interested then research into it.

Love the combination of grey buildings and the different shades of green. Pops of yellow on the sidewalk. The transparent umbrellas. Love how clean everything is. And also I love the combination of modern and traditional architecture. P.S. Let us not forget about the yellow puffer you are using to clean the lens😂

Honestly the sheer amount of plants lining every corner and road shows how deep the Japanese and their connection with nature is. Here in America (in the cities I've been to in Ohio) the notable examples were seeing sewer vents with steam coming out of them and rank aromas everywhere 😂 not to mention keeping that nature in a concrete jungle such as this is Paramount to our well being! Keep up the amazing videos as always brother. My 8 month old and I love watching them 😉☺️❤️

You are the ultimate Scapegoat; in a good way, that is. You bare the brunt of the elements so that we who rest in the comfort of our own homes, don't have to. I watch a lot of these 'walk in the city' videos, but it's oddly satisfying seeing one in the middle of the rain. Reminds me of the days when my only solace was to go on long silent walks.
