My dad served WW 2 enlisted at 17y left high school with parents permission. Long gone at 55 yrs old. I found his record. He did coding in France, Italy, smart guy even then. Ended up being a humble man taught me a lot and a real life rocket scientist. Loving and very authentic. Miss that generation.

Thank you for sending love to our military. My son is in the Air Force and is deployed overseas. This is his last deployment before retirement. I pray everyday that he will be able to come home safe. Our world is so unpredictable and angry. I so miss the peace we had in younger years. Well, I think it was more I was totally unaware of the world so I was at peace. I guess ignorance is bliss.

Can’t remember who said it, but one of the readers read that a deal would be offered to 45 that included not being charged for all of the “misdeeds”that are about to be revealed but in return he had to be quiet because of the national security ramifications. But it was also suggested that he would not accept as the deal would require him to admit defeat/guilt. Weeks ago I heard someone else suggest that he might get pardoned. I think that should make him plead guilty, sentence him to life in jail & then commute based on good behaviour expectations! One peep - 🔒 & throw away the key.

I know (I graduated high school in 1971) that many of our soldiers who did not come home in boxes came home with both serious physical injuries and those invisible but serious mental injuries. Our country has always done a horrible job of counseling our active duty soldiers returning to civilian life.
