Rambling With The Brum's

Rambling With The Brum's

Күн бұрын

Ok folks I’ve done it as far as I can tell this is my famous family recipe.
I do apologize for the length but to get the process Down it needed to be this long. I started with over 110 minutes of content so old Rambling needed to take his large axe to cut this one down.
Recipe
4 cups of Chokecherry juice.
6 cups of granulated sugar.
2 packages of Pectin 57g per package
2-3 TBS lemon juice
Folks:
I have been asked to post different ways so people could send me letters and blessings I’m humbled but I said no thank you I just love helping they really adamant that they wanted to do something for me in appreciation of me helping other channels and starting up our channel.
So I’ve talked it over and I personally will buy power tools with the blessings so I can deliver better content and supplies are also a large cost. I’ll never ask for blessings but they are greatly appreciated and I truly blessed by my KZbin community/ Family. I think I’ve got the KZbin bug. God Bless
Also I’ve had folks wanting me to test items so Feel free to email me for my address to send / Ship things.
Lots of folks and I’m seeing a need for good quality t-shirts/mugs and hats at reasonable pricing so the end person has a chance to make money also so it’s something we are seriously looking at starting this but it’s a huge investment but I’m feeling I’ve got the support to get it done and I honestly think I’d be doing a service to the KZbin community up north.

In the US Black Chokeberries grow in Georgia and Alabama, north to Minnesota. Red Chokeberries in Central Florida, west to east Texas. BUT Not found in the Midwest

Hi....nice recipe, but seems like excessive pectin. Most jelly recipes call for one package with similar juice/sugar ratios. That said, when I have made CC jelly with those standard ratios, it doesn't set and I've needed to recook it. So...I'm just wondering if you know of some reason chokecherries require so much pectin (comparatively)? I've been trying to figure it out...lol. Thanks...

Howdy I did know Grandma used to say it’s the only berry that you need to add extra. Yo be honest I’ll be adding one more it was good till about mounts 6 then it started going to liquid until refrigerated and that’s in the cold cellar. If I’m not mistaken grandma would say the acidity is very high and over time it would break down Pectin. Like I said I hadn’t made that recipe in over 30 yrs and this year I’m going to have a bumper crop. The trees are full. I hope you have a fantastic day and don’t forget subscribing is free and it helps my channel greatly.

G'day Scott. That was good. Glad the steak was good too. My youngest came in and then came back maybe 20 minutes later and saw the same video running. He said "that guy is really slow at cooking". 🤣 All the best mate. Daz.

@@RamblingWithTheBrums I'm sure she'd love a gift from her Uncle Scott. Oh, yes. When I make carrot punch (with Guinness and milk, sometimes a dash of white rum) I remember my grandma. Sometimes it's just those little things and the memories come flooding back. 💛 Take care.
