I remember when I went to see Rambo 3 in 1988, I was going to high school at night and I was walking down the sidewalk from the cinema to school and I can't resist watching this great movie, and you won't regret it. This Rambo 3 movie was, is and will be the best of the entire saga, the 80's was the best decade of all time with the best movies and the best music, sweet memories !!

Absolutely, I seen this at the theater when in high school too with my friend on a weekday. I loved it. I remember Stallone always bettering himself as he got older. In this movie he was 42 y/o the best shape of his life. Now 76 y/o and even bigger and better than before, well maybe not the best shape but better than the majority of people. He’s an inspiration. Live long Rambo!

Still gives me chills before the stick fight. The music, the way it builds up as he prepares and then stops when Rambo turns his head to the audience for the fist time. Sylvester Stallone is pure Americana. He epitomizes what makes America great. Rocky, Rambo, The Expendables and I am loving Tulsa King. His characters are what every man aspires to be. He trains his body to perfection, he is the most credible and intense actor I have ever seen. Sylvester Stallone is larger than his legendary characters. Two men that epitomize Americana to me are Sylvester and Elvis. I just love them.

Each had their thing, that is why they are memorable. To name some, Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Bolo Yeung, Jet Li, Jean Claude Van Damme, Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mel Gibson, Clint Eastwood. And many more. Clint Eastwood didnt even needed to be a martial artist to make you respect him, just his presense and his stare was more than enough. Probably the most convincing old man hero we had on cinema ever. On his elder years he still managed to pull that. Amazing actors all of them, we are lucky to have lived in these years to enjoy most of their movies.

Yea, the stick fight has to be one of the most intense fighting scenes in cinema. I remember as a kid, I kept closing my eyes and jumping from my seat. I felt like I was there. It has some great cinematography and sound design. In the end, when the fighter is lying down, Rambo's rival expects a death blow is coming. Then, Rambo shows compassion when he finally realizes the fear in his opponent, after he begins coming down from the adrenaline rush. I hate what a lot of Hollywood is releasing today. The last Rambo film, for me, was such a let down. However, I always wanted a film when Rambo was in Vietnam as a Green Beret. A film depicting the lethality he had with The Special Forces teams.

Funny to think that the very year this came out, the war that served as the setting as well being what drove the plot ended, and about three years later, the country the villains he fought with (both this one, and the "Rambo" movie before it) came from ceased to exist. What's **not** funny, but seriously impressive, is that 33 years later he is **STILL** doing movies like this, he **STILL** looks like a total fuckin' beast at age 75.

I think the thing that really set Stallone apart from a lot of other action guys was his training ethic and his conditioning. Nobody trained and dieted harder than him. He maintained a crazy physique year round. The only action star I can think of that stays in shape year round right now is the Rock. That brings me to the second thing that set Stallone apart - his humility. The Rock is his own biggest fan. He's SO cocky! I don't know, they just don't make them like they used to.

I was hoping to see scenes from the ending battle with Rambo in the tank and the General in the helicopter. My favorite Rambo movie in the series.

The older he got, the more shredded he was. How many people have this physique nowadays? I don’t think people my age (30 and under) understand what that takes. Look at the amount of muscle packed on his short frame, vs how shredded he is. Holy shit

lol how about 45 and under
@calebray41684 жыл бұрын
@@fastfingers110 yeah if you’re referring to the people who were alive when the movie released. I’m talkin about being aware of what it takes to put that muscle onto a fully matured frame(about 30-35) especially comparing him to any other physical actor. You’d be hard pressed to find someone with these physical dimensions nowadays.

there was some use of HGH to achieve it, even short term steroid use. often done to allow actors to pack on muscle in a short time for a movie role
