Although the name is not mentioned, after listening again and again I believe that the dholak player is the late Shahadat Chedi, a legend on its own merits

Dohā: Bīr (Vīr) hokar dushmano` se, darne se marnā bhalā; Larnā hai to larke mar jā, khatiyā pe marne se bhalā. (Āṛāūī) We will be heroic with our enemies and bless them with death. We will fight with the guys until death and the land will bless us. 0. (Refrain) Ek hāth me` desh kā jhandā. Ek haath me` Surinām kā jhandā. Dūjhī me` talvār, kaum kā hogā kabhī udhār. In one hand is the flag of our country, in that hand is the flag of Suriname. In the other hand is a sword, no nation can ever advance (to take over). 1. Agar chāhate ho tum sab sukhī rahe, aur rahane kā thikānā banne. To jāt pāt ab dūr bhagānā hogā, ek hī jhandā ke nīche ab sab ko ānā hogā. Jis se ho kūm kī rakshā, aisā pārtī (party) banānā hogā. Guru Govind aur Birjanand kī lain par ānā hogā, ānā hogā.(Ref) 2. Sau bāto` kī ek yehī hai, ke tum sab ektā mat bhūlanā. Kal ektā ko bhūl gayā to Surinām desh me rahane kā thikānā nahī`.

The third song was previously sung by Chaitoes mother 'Sabrang' Chaitoe in the band Naya Roshni Nari Sangeet Samaadj. And also recorded on EP by the younger sister of Chaitoe: Bidjanwati Chaitoe on a young age late 70s or early 80's.

Live probably recorded at the Leiding 19 District Suriname (now Distr. Wanica) where Ramdew Chaitoe lived in Suriname and his parents and brother also. There used to be crowds present at his home when they practised. Recording also possible in Holland. Dholak player most probably Mahinder Sewnandan or maybe Mohan Sewdhari or maybe Ardjoen Utar of distr Suriname. Both the first dholak players where from district Saramacca where there was a sizeable community of Indians living
@glennpiroe87775 жыл бұрын
The dholak player could also be Ardjoen Autar if distr Suriname

Niet zeker maar de potentiele kandidaten zijn Mahinder Sewnandan of Mohan Sewdhari of Ardjoen Autar of zelfs Rakieb Wagidhoesein. Maar niet zeker.

The babhan comes and goes. My heart feels for (is interested in) this babhan. (I love this babhan, I adore him). He returned, hey, he came back. 1. Ohe, babhanavā kī ekta hī ā`khiyā` (ānkhiyān). Tāke sāri (chāṛi) oṛh, tāke sāri oṛh. Mor man lāga babhanavā. (Ref) This babhan has only one eye. It is all over the place. (i.e., he has a roving eye and is always looking at stuff, including ladies perhaps. He, of course, has two eyes.) I love this babhan. 2. Ohe, babhanavā kī ekta hī goṛavā (godavā). (Hai daiyā !) Bhāge sāri oṛh, bhāge sāri oṛh. Mor man lāga babhanavā (se !). (Ref ) This babhan has only one leg. (Oh father!) It runs (flees) into every place (abode). Chhuave sāri (sārā) oṛh, chhuave sāri oṛh. Mor man lāga babhanavā. (2) This babhan has only one arm.
