You can actually depress the helmet down to reduce the gap , give it some force. Nothing will break nor scratch. You can also pull the door cannons out more, hold the door with one hand and tug more on the wing / door cannon with your fingers on the other hand until you get a “click” sound. That way you get the full extension.

My doors don't open at the same time. The driver side opens and I have to push harder again to open the passenger door. Is there a fix for this??

@@DOOM1UP depress down the activation with more force instead of a lighter touch. Both doors will open. A light press release one door and the next light press releases the other door. So 1 swift downward press with more pressure will release both.

Now that Ramen Toy has received Cease & Desist from Hasbro, will Great White still be released and in the same way as Red Gullwing? ( with Portia White and her helmet in the colours as Gloria Baker, same box art retro Kenner, the comic etc. )

Ramen Toys did a great job creating a new version of the classic Thunderhawk sportscar Jet. Thanks for the very detailed review showing many angles of the vehicle as well as the small figure with lots of articulation and a blue visor mask. Looks excellent. I still remember the day as a kid I bought Thunderhawk at the local toy store in the mall with my parent, then walking out with it in the bag, thinking how cool it'll be next to Condor and Piranha, eventually saving for 14 M.A.S.K. vehicles/figures and Boulder Hill back then. Amazing line that is finally getting brought back recently at last!

I am excited to get mine finally, but I am so worried now that Hasbro has come after Ramen Toys and their next run will be more generic as this means possible future figures and vehicles may look nothing like their original counterparts. I really love MASK but cannot afford to buy the retro ones, so this was it. Crossing my fingers, but I am deeply worried now.

I still have the thunderhawk (and rhino) i got for christmas back in grade 2 lol the only thing that doesnt work so well is the doors dont stay up. But its 38 years old.

It would be nice if Ramen Toys did some cool different color schemes. I would like to see a Knight Rider version of this mold in addtion to different color schemes. An Optimus Prime of GI Joe homage would be cool, but just regurlar different race cars with diferent characters would be cool.

I applaud ramen toys for the effort..there's a little bit of cheapness in the figures waist and the gullwings doors though...but a very cool effort!

Is there any tricks to getting the side mirrors to stay? I know you said they stay lose in the video, but wanted to see if anyone had any luck getting them to snap in place. Love the review and love my Red Gullwing

Mine stay in unless I'm removing them. Stay in upside down as well. Maybe push a little bit more? Also, mine didn't snap in

My side mirrors just sit in the ports for them. They don’t snap in to place and can wiggle a little, but stay in just fine. I was afraid they’d pop out when opening the wings, but they stay in place.

Got mine yesterday, august 3rd, and I absolutely love it :) The only tiny issue on mine is that the top hinges on the passenger door is a bit tight. but I guess it'll loosen up over time.

Since Ramen got the C&D and they'll rerelease with different looks to not appear too close to the original, so here are some thoughts on maybe ways to benefit from the tooling they already made... how about offering people to purchase different color deco's, like they did with the ramen-racer... so they could have: [1] a green gullwing with inspiration from the green adventure set for figure deco & car coloring. [2] have a "Thunderblade" that takes inspiration from the Switchblade color scheme. You could redeco the figure to look like the colors of Miles Mayhem. _《if he has plans for a switchblade, that alternate version could have the thunderhawk color scheme and be called SWITCHHAWK.》_

[3] a *_RHINO-WING_* or _*RHINO-HAWK_ color variant [4] a *_JACK-WING_* or *_JACK-HAWK_* color deco and (if in the plans for a jackhammer mold) redeco as *_THUNDER-HAMMER_* _I JUST realized that I don't think Cliff Dagger ever got a redeco nor second vehicle or set (other than the 2pack with bigger helmet)_ 🤔 I mean, at least Sly Rax got that tire catapult mini-set. And Miles got additional vehicles, outfits, multiple outfit redeco's, etc... I think Vanessa's in that same boat as Cliff. No extra color variants (not even in euro- nor Argentinian redecos?!?!? I wonder why.

Mine arrived a few days ago and looks great! Curious to know if anyone else has had issues getting the rear bumper to lock back into place in car mode? I’ve followed the instructions, holding down the spoiler while pushing in the bumper, but it takes several attempts to get it to lock in…and then it seems like the slightest nudge will pop it back up.

Thunderhawk is pretty iconic and this breaths life into the franchise for all of us. Great White will be nice for collectors to add into the toyline to help "complete" the line. There are other versions out there as well. I'd like to see different scales in the future like Boulder Hill at a 12 inch scale :) You'll be able to live in there

I would LOVE a Piranha! Always been my favourite, even if Sly is VENOM! Gloria with Shark (Great White by Ramen) never did get a toy released, or am I wrong? My daughter is playing with my MASK toys, looking to get the Ramen for display purposes... just not sure how that will fit my Fairytale Fantasies, WDCC, Ironstudios MotU He-Man and Skeletor and LEGO.

I liked Piranha as well. I managed to get it when it came out in the 80s along with a few of the others. Long since lost them tho. Always wanted Rhino or Jackhammer but could never find them.

When you close the doors close them from the very top of the doors then both doors should open properly
