Oh my goodness, you just described it so perfectly! I actually kept saying “Stop!” throughout the video because he kept doing all these little things that just made the performance that much better, and it felt like entirely too much to deal with! I was grinning like mad throughout, though, in between the protesting! 😁 And afterwards I was so caught up in emotion that I started tearing up. Man!

Night time sharpens, heightens each sensation Darkness stirs and wakes imagination Silently the senses abandon their defenses Slowly, gently night unfurls its splendor Grasp it, sense it, tremulous and tender Turn your face away from the garish light of day Turn your thoughts away from cold unfeeling light And listen to the music of the night Close your eyes and surrender to your darkest dreams Purge your thoughts of the life you knew before Close your eyes, let your spirit start to soar And you live as you've never lived before Softly, deftly, music shall caress you hear it, feel it, secretly possess you Open up your mind, let your fantasies unwind In this darkness that you know you cannot fight The darkness of the music of the night Let your mind start a journey to a strange new world Leave all thoughts of the life you knew before Let your soul take you where you long to be Only then can you belong to me Floating, falling, sweet intoxication Touch me, trust me, savor each sensation Let the dream begin, let your darker side give in To the power of the music that I write The power of the music of the night You alone can make my song take flight Help me make the music of the night

@indigodragon06137 жыл бұрын
Robin LaBouche Michael was the original phantom. That doesn't automatically make him the best. In my opinion, Ramins voice is healthier sounding and has a darker feel to it. Ramin also doesn't use massive gestures. Instead, he uses very natural inflections and movements to portray Eric as a poor soul who never learned how to love or communicate properly with people.

Good flipping Lord!! He just got so intensely into the song and into character, and really performing the song with his hands and entire body. And then those little facial expressions all throughout, like that heart-stabbing smile at about 1:14, as he was singing “and wakes imagination” (and Goddarn it, he sang that line so nicely!). And then on top of that, his vocal performace here is so especially beautiful and immersive and seductive. You know, there was another performance I saw a video of-another one where he performed the song even more amazingly and intensely than usual. (Yes, I also have other descriptors I could use, teehee...). And I was going to note how he usually seems to hold back a bit more as he performs this song, and my semi-joking explanation was that he knew going all-in was too much for us to handle. XD After watching this, I’m increasingly convinced that this really _is_ the reason! I actually found myself saying “Stop it!” at the screen several times during the performance, because all those elements combined together were just...whew! Guy’s gonna give me a heart attack. Also...I can’t help but get the impression here that he knew exactly what reaction he would get by not holding back, and that he found it rather amusing. He seems to be having a great deal of fun during this performance. Especially if the smiles are any indication! I sometimes get self-conscious and worry about sounding too gushy or giggly, but if ever there was a time for it...! This was just too perfect! ^^ Definitely one of my absolute favorite performances of his, both in terms of this specific song and in terms of his performances that I’ve seen in general. WOW!
@NOONE-cd4gu5 жыл бұрын
I agree with every single point u made EVERY SINGLE ONE Especially when u said that he knows what reaction he is gonna get cuz i always thought that. In some other performances when he is singing and holds a note for long or hits a high notes he kinda turns his face side way and raises a brow when the audience starts scream and u can see he has a cheeky grin on his face And is just too adorable
