the band's musicians grew up in what was then GDR. today Rammstein is considered a Berlin band. in this video they flirt with elements from Bavarian folklore - in a quite successful! way, I would say. 🙂 there is some traditional banter between North-East Germans (vulgo "Preiss'n" = "Prussians") and Bavarians - and this is one of these, but a hearty one... 🙂

You should check out the band Vildhjarta, especially their album Måsstaden Under Vatten. There are many notable songs in that album. Some of which are När de Du Älskar Kommer tillbaka från de Döda, Kaos2, Brännmärkt, Den Helige Anden - under Vatten, and Vagabond. However, I will say, the album itself is like one big song as all the songs bleed into each other, meaning all the songs connect one to another. This band is a metal band and is also the band that pioneered/created the subgenre called 'thall'. This subgenre utilizes very heavy tunes, dissonance, ambience, odd time signatures, bends, and distortion among other things. It's great and I think you'll enjoy it.

Rammstein are a bit funny... Apparently their genre is called "Industrial Rock", and they very much are the kings of it. Alot of their music and lyrics (and music videos) generally have subversive meanings behind the general lyrics; one example is that Till (the lead singer) will "mispronounce" a word, which changes the meaning altogether...like in Du Hast.
