Super reaction. Lead singer Till Lindemann is a former junior Olympic swimmer. He looks confident on stage, but he used to suffer from severe anxiety about performing in front of people. Next - Mein teil (live from Hurricane festival) You will need subtitles for this 😎

hard to believe that Till suffered badly from stage fright but all the signs are there , wearing googles, staring up at the sky or the sound boot and getting off the stage as soon as he can, these days he seams a lot better going by the goofing around he does now

I think he's slowly gotten over it. I was at a Lindemann concert and he was very confident. Well, he was wearing glasses then too, but he doesn't show it so much anymore.😂

Till was a world class swimmer competing at the youth continental championship for East Germany. He was nominated for the 1980's olympic games but he retired due to injuries and got in trouble for interacting with athletes from the West. He's probably still used to go to the gym.

Great reaction. It was the show opener for MSG. And they opened last year's stadium tour with it again. Best opener imo. He's still quite shy off stage. On stage you can tell when he sings songs like "Diamant", "Frühling in Paris". These songs are performed without the distraction of fire, which was one of the original reasons there's a lot of it during the concert. To distract the attention of the audience from him as a person. He whether keeps his eyes closed or looks at some point in the distance. With love from Germany ❤🤘🏻

Yepp, Till has stated himself in an interview that he has insane stage fright. He never focusses on one person in the crowd, especially not in the front rows, as he fears they could make actual eye-contact. He always focusses on the rear of their venue and lets his gaze swerve all over the area. Richard is exactly his opposite during the concert. Richard likes to focus on a front row audience member, and often winks at them when they make eye contact.

easily their best opener, they went back to 'Rammlied'' for last years tour it was a slighty slower version and no, R+ don't do costums changes only remove clothes lol, the light in his mouth first appeared in the ''ich tu dir weh'' official video and Till had his cheek pearced to take the wire but it got infected hense the wire outside here

For a time Till the lead singer had a hole surgically put in his cheek to thread the wire light in for this effect. He had to let it close up eventually because it kept getting infected. But apparently he had fun squirting vodka through the hole as a party trick.

In my opinion, Til is doing a fantastic job of emulating Frankenstein's monster. The thing round his neck to cover up the bolt. The light because he was awakened by lots of electricity and the facial expressions and movements. Totally brilliant. Thankyou.

His costume is a Rubber Slaughterman's Apron, Hair Net, gloves representing the Chainmail Gloves that butchers use to protect themselves from the incredibly sharp knives they use. The Red Feathers around his neck represent flowing blood. Till Lindeman is absolutely committed to his art and will do almost anything for it, to see this check out his Solo work particularly "Zunge" I won't spoil it for you, it's unreal and absolutely no SFX what you see he actually did, its also a great song. Rammstein videos are epic, Zite, Deutschland, Amerika, Adieu, Dicke Titten, Radio and Angst there are many more. Till Lindemans solo videos are more hmmmm edgy shall we say.

Just a fun fact...the light in Till's mouth was first used in the Ich tu dir weh music video. But instead of a cable along his mouth as it is here he let his cheek pierced for putting through the cable.

Another fun fact: One of the band members said in an interview that Till had a drink and squeezed it out of the hole in his cheek, much to everyone's amusement. But in the end, the hole was so inflamed that it had to be closed again. 😆

Till is more a shy guy exept on stage. This is the reason their show is more like a theatre, so he is playing a role. I saw them last week live in Nijmegen and it was out of this world. The stage needs 6 days to be build up, 1350 ton of equipment. 5oo people only for the build up. 130000 visitors. Absolutly top notch ... and two hours platime ... Lindeman is 60 now. What a sportsman.

Till is not shy. Quite the opposite. He is in his element on stage. Flake, the keyboard player also says that no matter what song is played, Till is 100% in. There's no show. It's his lyrics. And he stands by them. But they're not about him, just about the world we live in. (Which many people suppress) Till doesn't like big crowds. In the early years, he found it difficult to look at the people in the audience. Now he can do that. But outside of a concert, he prefers to have fewer people around him.
