I was waiting for this one only to see your reaction. I didn't know if you'd like it or not, but I knew it would be interesting to hear your perspective. Anyway, this is probably the most hated Rammstein song and the reason is exactly what you said, Dominika, it doesn't sound like Rammstein. And the reason for that is (from what I've heard/read) that it was originally written by Richard for Emigrate, but from some reason they chose to use it for Rammstein. At first, when I heard it, I kinda liked it, but not enough to really listen to it. And long time passed since I listened to it again and simply fell in love with it. I adore this song, but I completely understand why so many people are against it. So, no one will get upset because you don't like it, Dominika. I love the honesty and I really didn't ecpect anything, I didn't know if you would like it or not. But one thing I knew - it would remind you of Nick Cave. And I was right. 😊🖤

The song was originally written for Richard's emigrate project with Till but ended up on the Rosenrot album. Therefore it's not a "real" Rammstein song. Bobo who also sang on Engel have also recorded this song with Rammstein but they opted to go with Sharlene's version

This is a typical Till song. Sounds romantic, but it's not at all. Till is a stalker again. When it's dark, he looks through the windows of a woman he desires, but who doesn't know he exists. She's there with a man and he wants to be in his place. The woman who sings here, everything she says is only in Till's head. It is not she who wants his hands around her neck, but he wishes in his imagination that she would like it. This "don't die before me" is not romantic, but frightening. He wants to be with her and strangle her, live out his fantasies with her and possibly even kill her. And he imagines that she's okay with it.

Tbh I also dislike this song. I found a version with only Till and I like that version of the song more. The 2 voices don't complement each other, but this is my opinion. I also dislike the back and forth between the English and German. Also, if someone doesn't like something, they don't like something. It doesn't mean they are close minded. It is just not for them, and that is ok. The differences between us make life more interesting. Also, some Rammstein songs you have to listen more than once to like. I remember listening to some, disliking them and a few days later caught myself singing those songs and then I started liking them. Weirdest stuff ever, never happened to me before.

Dominika is definitely not closed minded. She is just honest and we should all appreciate it and not judge someone's opinion only because we think differently. This channel would be boring, like most of others, if they were not honest. This was the first listening and how many songs you didn't like at first but they have grown in you through time? And btw, this song is generally highly hated by Rammstein fans. So, I really don't see any reason for your comment.
