precise in what way? they're fairly dry, and have a fast attack/decay, but i wouldn't say the performance is precise... you can already hear them rushing in the first couple of bars.

I first heard this song on KMET (L.A.) on a Sunday night listening to the Dr. Demento Show. I loved it immediately & whenever I hear this song, I'm taken back in time to 1976. Dr. D brought us the fun & quirky good music from all the eras. And thanks to the Ramones for some great beats.

Nobody could work the cymbals like Tommy. He made it an art form. People talk about Peart, Bonham, Baker, Moon but Tommy had a sense of rhythmic style that was unmatched. People think Ramones drumming is easy but its not, especially at a live show going for 90 minutes without a break.

I had to discover the ramones by myself even though my mom was gen x and I’ll never forgive her Jk, one of my babysitters in the 80s was in a punk band and was always playing different stuff and I was fascinated. It was time consuming later on to find the good stuff as I couldn’t nail down any specific sounds from my early years but it was worth it 💕
