BIG UPDATE: I have made the Titan INDESTRUCTIBLE during the allotted time given that you would normally wait for the Nidhogg. After 25 min the Titan will revert back to normal stats. After being informed by a couple comments that you can easily cheese this level in the first couple minutes, I thought this would make things more challenging as it forces you to defend against the enemy attacks rather than just killing the Titan and winning before the first attack wave comes. If there are any other adjustments you feel I should make to give this a real challenge, let me know in the comments!

Even without making the titan indestructible it's actually a lot of fun trying to kill him at the first village. Requires a good bit of micro and multitasking if you want to train reinforcements

this is how it should have been from the start, because right now with some extra effort you can just kill the titan while defending, even on titan difficulty lol

The actual easiest way to beat this mission is just rush the titan immediately and keep him frozen with folstag, if the first village is not destroyed the enemies remain mother nature and don't even build up. The initial units are more than enough for getting rid of the few troops the titan has.

Just FYI, that tech you showed us in the editor "SuperTitanSPC" actually does make the Titan both tankier and stronger. It gives him +400% attack bonus v. human units, not titan myth units, and your 3 main heroes. SuperNidhoggSPC gives the Nidhogg an enormous attack bonus v. Titans. I hope the Retold devs are seeing your content and noticing that there is community interest in Co-Op campaigns like they put in AoE2DE!

I used to complete this mission without Niddhog anyway, I just assumed it was the ordinary Niddhog and didn't deem it worth to wait for it.

Do you think it would be entertaining to become the villagers in this campaign? Like the one with your light sleeper campaign, but you can only control 1 village instead of all of them.

I distinctly remember using the Summon Niddhog God Power in this scenario (legit, not with pandoras box) and having two Niddhogs. Must of been you play as Loki in the Disk version of Aom the Titans but it was later patched so you play as Thor to stop players from getting a Niddhog 10 minutes in lol

Just did this campaign yesterday, and I panicked I wouldn't do it till Nidhogg arrives but I slayed this Titan somehow...without help :D Can't imagine this on Titan lol

Mission A fine plan but playing as Cyzicus (purple ai player) would be interesting, or watch that first step playing as Colossus Builders.

When I first played this level, I thought the timer was a countdown to losing, so I was always really panicked trying to kill the titan asap

i used to do this challenge as a kid because I didn't know English and couldn't know that there would be Nidhogg at the end of the mission. never understood why this misson was so hard LOL

I would usually kill the titan before the countdown ends, just by having some heroes with Folstag and constantly hit the titan, run away when he defrosts, hit again, rinse and repeat :D

King Folstag and his men are pretty much enough to slow the Titan down and kill it with your little army you have left

By the time Nidhoggur shows up every village is either overrun or the titan is dead. An easy way to deal with this mission is to destroy the base that the titans forces start with

I could not complete this level on Titan for the life of me until I looked up a video of someone sending all of the starter units to kill the enimies infantry, they will then stop building and creating more troops, then just use those starter units to kill the Titan and freeze him, grabbing the units and sending them away and since folstag is a tank you can just loop him around a setlement, freeze him and get your hero's back on him again, when he unfreezes just grab ur units, send them away, loop the titan around a setlement, rinse & repeat.

With proper micro and timing, you can also prevent them building a tc, killing all reds units and now you only have the titan to deal with

i really hate how the games tries to imply you won't be alone when fighting the titans but you are you're "helpful" allies don't do shit, missions 8 and 9 would be much more fun if the allies actually helped for mission 8 your allies should be defending the trade route and send troops to defend the Son of Osiris for mission 9 the Norse villages should be putting up a defense against the titan and the followers

I always thought the nidhogg was a meme because they'd kill all villages way before the nidhogg arrives, so I always beat it that way, but whatever.

I mean bruh, even on the normal difficulty, without trying to stop the Titan at least ONCE Nidhogg won't arrive in time. If you try to kill the Titan, it's just best to kill it.

Super easy, just rush towards their camp and kill them before they build anything. Kite the titan, ez win.

Just tried this and you're right. It does make it super easy this way. I have made some adjustments to the map to hopefully make it tougher. Updates are pinned to the top of the comments.
