Have you had any issues with the slip nuts spinning after using? How does the truck bed metal hold up to the pulling and hauling of the loader and loading the bike? I would have thought you might have needed some kind of backing plate or fender washer underneath the bed to prevent metal bending/tearing? Great video by the way... I have a motorcycle loader that uses tension rods to hold it down in the truck bed and I have been trying to figure out a way to make a bolt in set up in order to eliminate the tension rods since they seem to always be just in the way... would love any advice... thanks!!

I did have that issue with some of the earlier rivet nuts, but for a long time now they have been supplying Plusnuts which have a much larger jacket and a lot more grip. I have never seen or heard of anyone experiencing pull through of the bed. A different mounting strategy is needed for composite beds. You weld angle iron to the unit and bolt the angle iron to the bed using the bed bolts.

Are you able to install this unit in an 8ft bed and then close the tailgate? I want one but i hate not having my tailgate
@Openroadoutfitters5 ай бұрын
The Rampage has to be mounted so the ramp will clear the back of the tailgate or the bed of the truck. In an 8 foot bed application, if the tailgate is removable, you could load the bike and put the tailgate back on and close it. If the tailgate is not easily removable (and many are like that now) then you would want to install the Rampage Rollback kit which is a set of rails you install that allow the Rampage to move in/out with or without the bike.

What's the round metal pipe do on the rack??
@Openroadoutfitters7 ай бұрын
The round bar down the middle serves as a guide for the ramp. It also has a hole at the top that allows you to secure the ramp with a pin so that you can then load/unload the bike without having the ramp move as the weight shifts.

So you solely trusting the metal of the bed to hold 800+ lbs for years with no extra metal underneath the bed 🤔

Yes, this load is no different than any other. I've had one in my truck for over a decade.
