Ramsey brings the funk to one of my favorite love themes. First heard it when I was 17. I'm 73 now and it still fills my soul with joy.

I have been a blues and rock performer for 56 years and still would rather have seen RLT do this song than most of the overblown posers I have played with & listened to in my career. Those three notes that become the song's signature still make me tear up, and I have listened to the piece since buying the LP in 1966. I still have it!

My introduction to Jazz in 1966. I don't know how many times I played this over and over. I still love it as I now approach 70 years old.

One of the greatest versions of this tune, ever. The story, dynamics, touch, and all of the crashes and chimes the drummer is using … perfection.

So you take one of the greatest movie themes of all time...and you let a jazz genius mess with it...and it only has 10,900 hits? This is genius on two levels: the composer & the interpreter. This is beyond brilliant. I don't need to find heaven: I've been here....

I remembered every note of this piece. Dude was a genius. Too bad most of America couldn't get past The Beatles. Not knocking the Boys from Liverpool. We Loved Them Ya Ya Ya. Just sayin....

When all of my friends were listening to the Beatles and The Rolling Stones, I was pretending to play the piano with Ramsey Lewis. He was the best.
