This fundamentally changes my understanding of how the voice works. I did not realize that vocal strain is more than and often is outside the voice box. The way I learned to use my voice was with all the focus in my throat on producing sound because that’s where the sound is actually made. But I had to relearn how use my voice to remove that strain, but it seems I have only moved the strain to my core instead of training to remove the strain entirely. This video has taught me more than any teacher or tutor has ever taught me about how to produce vocal sounds without hurting myself. Thank you

But she hasn't been able to see me due to other issues. I've been watching you since 2020 and it's 2023. Thanks to you, I can belt, do whistle notes, and somehow hit an A6, and I'm 14. I am a language therapist so having a good sounding voice is essential. I am working with a voice therapist and laryngologist. I had Covid about a year ago and that’s what my voice problem started and then it started getting better this past April and then I got sick again with some sort of upper respiratory problem and went back to having difficulties with the raspiness again when I talk. Would love any pointers to have a speedy recovery and get this problem permanently fixed.

I’m struggling with the tongue exercise on the high notes. My tongue is relaxed but I feel a push under my chin on the high notes. I think I have tension in my larynx too since my larynx goes really high on the high notes and muscles show on my neck when I sing notes in the 6th octave but they don’t sound strained. I don’t know how to fix it but hopefully I do soon ❤️ if anybody has advice to improve these problems please tell me ❤️🎶🎵Good luck on your music journey!
@ramseyvoicestudio
@ramseyvoicestudio 3 жыл бұрын
If you feel that push under your chin, then your tongue is not relaxed. What you're feeling there is the digastric muscle connected to the root of the tongue. This doesn't get fixed in one 60 minute lesson. It takes continued practice

They can be difficult! Often times, people release too much air. Try thinking of a light hum, or even vocal fry, behind the lip trill. That might help balance the air pressure a little better, if you're having the same problem I did. Also remember that as you go higher up, the voice needs less and less air to operate.
