Wot? No strawberry laces in the packed lunch??!!!😀 We have some lovely stretches of coastline in Kent don't we? The Ramsgate to Margate bit in particular is one of my favourites. Particularly liked the references to the Post Boxes...must have a look for the one in Ramsgate next time I'm there! Also the Ghost Signs...glimpses of the past.... The book 39steps by John Buchan was inspired by the steps which lead down to Stone Bay at Broadstairs along that walk. Hidden away down the cliff. I already have a Spotter's Handbook!...hopefully Marek will sell some more after people watching this after all?! They're good fun to take along on walks. 😀

That's a great fact about The 39 Steps, I didn't know that. I don't think people realise how nice the scenery is in Thanet and how distinct the 3 main towns are and yet it's all still very accessible. As for the laces that's more Marek's thing. I like them fine but prefer a sugar coated Haribo of some kind. Cheers!

As a croupier in the 'old' casino in Margate back in the early 90's I used to do this walk to relax on my days off. I never knew about the post boxes. I love learning new bits of trivia, so definitely going to be watching more of your videos. P.S. Might pop over to Marek's to buy a Spotters Handbook... he seems p*ssed.

Nice video. I’m intrigued by the name of the Ramsgate Home for Smack Boys. Is it a rehab clinic from Victorian times? I also spotted a information board at 12:16 (bottom left hand corner) so you need to add on points to your score for that

Hello Rufus! I can't believe I excluded information board in my video, excellent spot. Smack boys is a most curious name I agree. It was basically an orphanage for boys who had no where else to go and ended up working on boats which were called Smacks apparently. See here.. www.formerchildrenshomes.org.uk/smack_boys.html
