I actually saw this same comment posted to a recent show (which is interesting because I typically just scan the first several comments and move on unless something really triggered my “I gotta say something” switch). I wonder if she laughed more in this one or the other one. What if she’s just laughing more in general? Yes, I have always strived to stand up for what I believe is right. Saying “free Palestine” in a supposed comedy routine is, yes, “too political”. Palestinians have many opportunities for their own state but their leaders have rejected them, preferring terrorism instead. Also, although Ramy Youssef mentioned the hostages he neglected to mention how they became hostages in the first place, from the October 7 heinous attacks on Israel. To allude to this in a monologue is too much, too political.
