He wasn't given a chance as a hitter last season bcz GM didn't think he's tall enough so he gave Ran ribelo position. I was so mad and frustrated for that but he showed the world he's an all rounder. He was a ribelo in HS before becoming the best spiker of all Japan HS tournament in 2019 so he can do all positions.

@@mikiohirata9627 he also arrived a few days just before the start of the match. He wasn't able to play with the team much and during that time didn't have much connection with them. Very glad he's an OH now ❤️

I don't want to be that person who compare volleyball to haikyuu but, I remember people used to compare him to sakusa (in terms of skill of being an ace, bc Ik ppl also compare him to kageyama bc of his looks), before I still doubt that idea, but now what he's showing to us is that he has really grown into an efficient hitter not only in his defense, and I can say that just like sakusa he is now potentially an ace for years to come (not that he's not an ace now, but I believe this is not yet his fullest)

@@aydash5699 agreed! Age doesn’t matter here. Micky has all the physical advantage (height, power) you need as a volleyball player and the experience playing in European-level games since he was very young. As for Ran, despite the lack of height and international experience, still won MVP against Modena and Lube so far, and top scorer for Padova in the match against Perugia. That shows potential and progress.

Uhm that was last season lmao he's been one of Padova's best scorer alongside Petkovic. He was even the top scorer last match against Perugia with 16 pts. 🙃
