PLEASE don't buy from fast fashion companies! Shein, H&M, GAP, Urban Outfitters, Zara, Fashion Nova, and many more are examples of fast fashion companies that produce their clothing in unethical ways. Although they may be cheap, there are many other options. Buying from these companies will not only hurt people but also the environment.

Who should we buy from?

@@strikingitrich7630 If you're someone who is low on budget but wears clothes for longer periods of time, you can buy from those stores but try to minimize the amount you get. most people go for fast fashion brands because of how affordable it is, so if you really need to, go for it. But don't be that person who only wears clothes once or twice and buys more. Other options are going to thrift stores (buying second hand), upcycling, and buying clothes from smaller, sustainable businesses

The greed in this world sickens me. Amazing how these ppl know that they’re building in an unsafe manner, but they don’t care as long as it saves them money. Then when the building collapsed, the owner tries to run. 🤦🏼‍♀️ And all the big corporations that had their clothing made there needs to pay up for the survivor’s fund. They have so much money that collectively, the 25 million needed for the survivors, would be just a drop in the bucket for them. Yet they refuse. Greed like this sickens me to my core. I hope one day they’ll realize they can’t take even a dime w them into the afterlife. & that is when they will be judged for their horrible treatment of others in this life. May God watch over all the survivors 🙏🏻

So, let me get this right. We double how much we pay and that automatically doubles the wages of the workers and doubles the strength and integrity of the buildings they are working in? That logic seems fishy to me. Since when did so-called "progressives" become big believers in "trickle down" economics? What we need is better governance on the construction and manufacturing industries in Bangladesh. The problem is, their government is too corrupt. If change is to come, it will have to start with the Bangladeshi people voting. Voting with your pocket book as a consumer does nothing for them if these clothing companies just pack up and leave to some place like Vietnam or Malaysia and start over. Oh, and did you know, we have sweatshops with awful conditions and slavery right here in America that lefty journalists like to ignore. You don't have to fly all the way to Bangladesh to find it.

Vote who!!! Currently there is only one political party in Bangladesh. What`s happening here is dictatorship in the name of democracy. And about the garment industry currently the scenario is changing due to the pressure of the companies. Owners are building ecofriendly buildings(or just a coverup) though the salary of the workers hasn't improved much. Depends a lot on the brands they deal with and only the consumers can pressurize them. Your government doesn't give a f about what the company is doing in a third world country. As someone said you get your works done from the factory in china but in the end also blame china for the world pollution.
