Live-stock is money. It’s all about the money not the live-stock . Aren’t ranchers compensated for animals lost to wolves?

Lol wow. Shouldn't you know these things before you vote. No they are not compensated. At all. And let's put this in perspective. Is your job about money.or is about supporting yourself and or your family? These are not greedy corporations we are talking about these are people that take a huge risk to feed us all. If they loose a cow it comes out of their families mouth. Clothes off their back. Or even the roof over their head. Again no they do not get compensated and even if they did do you think the government would given them market value. Doubtful. Every lost cow is thousands of dollars both in investment and profit for the ranch to keep breeding, mending fences, satisfying government regs, processing, shipping, delivery, and thousands of other expenses. Its hard to imagine the risk and stress these people deal with. Try to imagine you have, hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars tied up in the heard all year. Living off the left over money from the year before. Knowing that a pack of wolves, A bad snow storm, a dry spell or disease could take it all away in the blink of an eye. Then think about what that means. You are waiting all year to replenish your bank account then all of a sudden you go out to feed and you find 12 mutilated cows. Only one eaten. The rest killed just because. Even three cows is huge for these people. Because for all you know he lost 5 calfs that year, maybe had a group freeze the year before. We need to take the blinders off and think logically about this. There is no compensation, bail out, government program or federal relief for farmers and ranchers. They take the risk of failing and starving their own family so the rest of us have access to easy food and can over consume and waste and not worry about the reality of an uncertain world and if we will have a meal tomarrow. This is an ecological and economic disaster. And the first negative effect the "i" votes are going to see is the decimation of the elk herds. I love wolfs they are very wild. My favorite animal accualy but, I have a deep respect and understanding for them. They as are primal and brutal as they are beautiful and majestic. Don't believe me. Look up a video of a pack eating. They don't even kill their prey before they start eating. One of my biggest fears now is a pack getting one of my dogs or horses and haveing to just watch and listen to it happen. If that day ever comes my projectiles will not be rubber. I dont care if its my animal or my libral neighbors pet that probably voted for this. I wont just call the warden. Seriously. Go watch a few videos of a big pack earimg if you think this is a good idea. Viewer discretion is advised!

@@chads7391 Colorado Parks and Wildlife is required by a 90-year-old law to compensate ranchers, farmers and landowners for damage caused by big game animals - and now wolves - through its Game Damage Program. Compensation can include prevention materials (mostly fencing) and/or financial reimbursement.

Tell those ranchers that the environment feels the impact from their ignorance. You moved here from wherever, claimed thousands of acres of land that these wolves and their prey, lived in. Not to mention slaughtering the indigenous living on that land as well. You had no right, and you have no right now. Any state, violating the Constitution, in any way, is unlawful. Cruelty is of the devil.

And nine months later we learn the high elevation impacted those cattle making them sick, and possibly fall over. That's what wolves do, find the sick and diseased animals!! Ranchers don't like wolves because it means they need to watch their livestock closer and remove the sick ones!

Ranchers only choice will be to shoot-shovel-shut up! Just remember that if not for rebellion and civil disobedience, we would still be bowing to the king of England.

so. what the heck is the purpose of re-introducing wolves to an area full of free meals at rancher's expense? the land is already taken. this is not a good enviromental match. all it does is make the ranchers angry and broke, and the wolves exterminated or terrorised.

One out of 100 wolves will attack cattle. The walls were here long long before the Spaniards ever came and brought their cattle.

Wolves usual primary meals are elk and deer. 40% of Colorado elk and deer herds have infected animals with CWD. Wolves, when they get closer to those diseased animals will start removing them. Very old African saying Man hints the biggest and strongest, Lions hunt the weak and diseased. Smart hunters support wildlife predators!

Let's live trap a couple of wolves and everyone who voted for this has to bring their pets kids what ever and put them in the pen with them. If they live you get to take them back home with you.

I voted no on wolves. As did 49% of all Coloradans. But the big city and pet ski town nearby have the majority population and therefore can mandate their collective will on anyone they choose to destroy. It was a poorly written bill, because it named jackson county as the victims, but let everyone else vote on it. So they were out numbered 1000:1 and had no say. The bill should have stated that anyone who wishes to vote must also have wolves released in their county as well. There are already mountain lions under peoples porches in Denver, and several hundred dogs have been merc'd in boulder back yards by cats, so why not introduce some wolves there too? As long as we are making an egalitarian society everything should be fair and equal.

Colorado´s wolf reintroduction Is just a plan to destroy the lively hoods of Colorado´s ranchers and the hunting industry so that they can take over the land Build subdivisions, Ski resorts, and pot shops and has nothing to do with trying to help the population of the larger non-native cousin of the extinct wolf that once roamed Colorado years before.

@@austinpigg4201 hunting them is how we killed them off in the first place. They were REINTRODUCED. And they aren't even the same species, they are a bigger and more aggressive hybrid species than the wolves we originally had here.
