Holly Shnickes! I watch your other content, and as soon as I heard the voice I was it reminded me of someone. When I read the channel name it clicked. Cool hobby man, have learned tons and tons from watching a few of these videos. Just picked up a used V3 for my first machine with a used rocky, got great deals on both. Can't wait to dive in and start experimenting and seeing what works for me. Thanks for all you do to educate people!

i'm using 40-100-108 Rancilio basket. Usually a 15.5g dose. My Silvia doesn't have an adjustable OPV, so no adjustment possible there.

Stuart - thanks for the info, - and, maybe for the best on the OPV, one less thing to goof around with 🤷🏻♂️😂.....Im going to do a video soon about different doses in various baskets, - thanks ! best Pete

I replaced the old non-adjustable OPV on my 22 year old Silvia with a modern OPV unit. Cost about $60-$70 if I remember. Fairly easy to replace and adjust. In my opinion the machine worked better and easier to dial in with OPV set at 9 -10 bars range. Worth it. I think with higher pressure I would sometimes get early channeling that would break loose and make me think I was grinding too course when really I wasn't. But then I can get confused at times. With the OPV maxing out just over 9 bars it is one less thing to mess you up.
