Preach it Sir!!!! This open dialogue is the first step to changing our society for the betterment of all. Thank you Rand for caring about humanity and helping light a path forward away from the negative, fear based, self serving oligarchy we have created. Please listen up and start helping out in your community, talk to your neighbors, get out and serve in your community. We must be the changes we want to see to get this ball rolling. We can all make a difference in someone’s life. 🙏😘

@headishome84522 жыл бұрын
@@sr2291 Do you know how "welfare" works? Evidently you don't. There are rules and time limits... exceptions are for the working poor Example : woman 2 children works 2 jobs, 33 hours at one, 8 at another this family qualifies because despite her doing all she can, they still fall under poverty. This also goes if she is a he. So if mother or father (who doesn't live with them ) wait.. you are paying attention anymore 😳 because you don't want to listen to reality of the United States of America!!!! So tell me how "welfare" works, I would appreciate it as it helps to know where you knowledge of real life in USA is.
@sr22912 жыл бұрын
@@headishome8452 Every state has different rules under TANF. Some states allow parents to attend college. Some states make them take any job. Some states pay the monthly payment even if they are working. Some states dont. The rules used to be Federal so there was some consistency but the Republucans are getting rid of Federal Laws and allowing the states to do what they want. Arizona has a 2 year Welfare for life rule.

Depends on what you are learning things like culture, politics, liberal arts in general are not exactly known to lead to attractive careers.

I don't know abut that blanket statement. For example, while politics isn't exactly attractive, it seems to be a very lucrative career with a lot of job stability. ;-)

This is all a crock. American education is a system of private education by property tax base, not anything like equality of opportunity.

Quality Education, starts unfortunately with the simple responsibility of the Parents first. Secondly, Parents have got to honestly and as soon as possible identify areas in which their child or children individually are struggling to excel, then help them to focus more in that area of studying. Not necessarily to be perfect but better. Ask Individual Teachers for advice and help, if there answers or suggestions go against individual Moral Standards, that is where School Choice or Alternative methods should occur. Finally Parents need to be honest with their own expectations and wants for their own children and always remember, that regardless of those, at some point it is Your Children who will ultimately have to live out Your decisions and choices. Education or Learning is a better word, does not always mean College B.S. OR P.H.D. OR EVEN ASSOCIATE DEGREES.

No one has "honest expectations" of their child's abilities. The nonsense that everyone is "special" is coming home to roost.
@wallieormerod20492 жыл бұрын
@@worldobserver3515 Sadly I partly agree, but impossible to separate expectations from honesty for some. Edit** And special is really a notion of individual perspective and circumstances??

The most honest thing he said was about voting the same people in. You are going to get the same results. Yes, people like Rand Paul and Moscow Mitch. Fix the public school system. Charter school will only lead to exclusion of certain demographics and groups of people. Make education fair and better for all, not a privileged targeted few.
@robertsteele4742 жыл бұрын
Moscow Mitch. I fully and without question trust the opinion anyone who is still Russia-gating after spending millions of dollars on years of investigation by the entire power national security intelligence agencies and still not getting hard evidence for a conviction. Instead of whining on the internet with spurious ad hominem accusations, your time might have been better spent actually working to replace him and all the other venal and unscrupulous politicians in both parties in the last election based on his actual horrible policies and record and might have convinced a few people.

He makes a lot of great points, and then jumps to a complete non sequitur with, "If you're against charter schools... you don't care about these kids." Apparently, he can't wrap his head around the fact that you can be against giving a huge amount of public funding to private, for profit, institutions, while also caring about education and demanding that public money be given to public institutions, and that we change the nature of the public institutions to model them after successful private institutions. Nope. His answer is always going to be to lower the taxes, stop funding public schools, and let poor people rot so that he can improve the success stories coming from private schools.
@sYd6point72 жыл бұрын
Charter school do great work sometimes better than other schools, and private schools, and public school create activist commies.....they deserve to lose funding and be "reset", either that or get rid of the staff and get teachers who want to teach not indoctrinate.

Charter schools work while many DECADES of FAILURE of public schools in inner-cities show that they can't fix themselves. School Choice is the answer if you care more about black folks than the teachers' unions that are just out for themselves.
