I've got the RX120D, which is the same amp with like, 16 effects built into it. It sounds absolutely amazing and I love using it for my band. Just played a show with it last night in Philly, and it always works wonderfully in a live situation or just at practice with the band. I couldn't recommend this series of amps for thrash metal enough. It does the thing.
@EvilVileDevil Жыл бұрын
I got a question about your RX120D. Will any 2 channel foot switch switch the effects over. I just bought the half stack and it seems to be on a weird setting and I can’t change it.
@seanfolk7133 Жыл бұрын
@@EvilVileDevil it should. There is the channel switch button between the two channels, and the effects on/off button is right next to the effects level. There are LEDs on each channel and on the effects section. All of that to say if those buttons don't work or if the bulbs are broken and you can't see if the effects are on (which would totally cause that) then any two button foot switch should work. Also, the last resort option is turning the effects level all the way down and it'll effectively be off. That's just a thought if nothing else works

Yeah, I'm a rampant wordsmith binging on your videos this morning lol. *So, Randall s.s. schematics are always some very elaborate architectures and the number of transistors and FET's they use is insane!* They use in the dozens and dozens and their influence dominates the small use of op-amps they use. It's been a critical factor to my own designs and always will be. *Another critical factor is the use of overdriven transistors, something they don't actually do, to achieve your clipping and all-around distortion character.* When you hear a transistor circuit designed so they naturally overdrive and distort, *you hear the exact sound and texture of tubes right down to the fizz and dense, glassy high end, but it's significantly better.* It also does it with the bass and mids without all the bite, rasp and other note definition and separation solid-state is know for destroying *and just as relevant, miserably so!* Digital is undoubtedly destine to completely takeover, even with the power amp stages, but I don't think it will knock s.s. out of relevance and ultimately, I think tubes will in fact greatly fade from use. *They will still be around, but ultimately become highly marginalized when someone produces equivalent equipment that is priced fairly which means up to 1/10 the cost of valve gear.*
