I assume he has a permit to harvest Sailfish. You can't take these from the water without one. They are a protected species. In addition they ain't that great as table fare.

You only need a permit in Federal waters not state waters Why do people repeat the nonsense about sailfish being bad eating? They’re delicious Do you REALLY think that shore based fishermen are going to do any damage to the sailfish population?! Come on man!
