What would ypu recommend for someone who is just getting into pokemon cards, that are easily attainable in a budget

Keane Richardson Honestly, you are best off going for modern stuff and looking long term. Old popular cards in good shape are expensive, no exceptions. It really depends how much you are willing to pay. I think the best is to go for booster boxes but even that is $100 for a set. That includes 36 packs. Whats nice about it is keeping it sealed has never gone down in value. I don’t think any sealed product has sold later at a loss, besides brand new individual packs. Even steam siege, what is considered the worst set, sells at $110. So not much of a gain but no loss either. It’s a pretty safe bet You could also go the option I go, which is much less, and that’s going for the elite trainer boxes of popular sets, usually the fall sets. I mostly budget for individual cards and not products, but I make the exception with these. And I am leaning to them more as cards get more expensive. They’re $50 but the issue is how hard it is to find. It’s luck of the draw because they sell out. The most recent one is champion’s Path charizard elite trainer box. The one last year I got was hidden Fates, which became $250, but they’re doing a reprint of it this January. So the value will go down and then back up when the reprint is done. Everyone wants them, so if you see a elite trainer box for hidden Fates, go for it! If you are looking for cards that you like and not necessarily for value, you’ll probably just have to pick and choose on eBay what you like and price

@@GlasNaRokMMA the packs Logan opened are easily the most expensive packs on the market ranging from 15k-50k, original pokemon has an extremely high market entry price especially right now that it's being talked about. As mentioned, modern pokemon is a far more obtainable option that won't drain your capital. Search up the names of sets and do research on sets that contain collectible cards (pokemon people collect, art style, etc) then go from there. A set being recommend for new people is XY evolutions as it's a reprint of the modern set infused with the modern EX style cards and the booster packs/box are not expensive only issue is that it was printed heavy but the population report of PSA 10s is low for the holo cards bc of printing issues.

xMurphyBoiix On eBay or anywhere else It’ll be expensive but you could sell it for more in the future. Buy from reputable sellers with lots of feedback and labeled under an eBay “store.” The best reputable people I know are TCA_Gaming, ZandG_Emporium (both have youtube channels now), and TrollAndToad which has their own site too. I’m sure there are others that I can’t remember, so hopefully someone else can insight you on them. These are old and rare packs now, so they might not have exactly what you are looking for right now. But check regularly as they get inventory. Sometimes they sell “heavy packs” which are more expensive but also almost guarantees a holographic, making it more valuable. Of course, the one Logan opened up is the first set ever so its the most expensive, or it might be second to Skyridge I forgot. But many are getting valuable and will skyrocket. Look up “WOTC booster box” on eBay and you’ll see all kinds of sets worth a lot. These sets were made by WOTC, Wizards of the Coast, and are the original sets with lots of nostalgia to them. Some are cheaper in comparison now like Jungle and Fossil, but they’ll all be very valuable in the future. My personal favorites are neo destiny, Neo revelation, aquapolis, and skyridge. Here from Logan’s stream and have no idea how card hard PSA grades. will someone who knows more comment on how Logan handled the cards? It seemed like he was handling them rough for something that price is dependent on condition. I’m not meaning the gloves or not . It might just be my ocd but it seemed like checking to see how many were left to pull was slightly bending the cards etc...

Love your work Randolph speaking up about that guy, because I went on Ebay and the prices were much cheaper and then I started thinking the ones on Ebay might be fake, so looked at other sites and yep again that guys prices were way over the top, so your spot on with what you said, massive respect for you speaking up about it because like you said people will run out seeing it cheaper and straight away buy it thinking they getting a great deal, funny thing is I didn't like something about him the whole video, and when he was getting his cards pulled out he was pretty rude about it
