Helping others can be in many forms. Welcome to another video that shows people around doing kindness to others. There is no small or big in doing kindness, what really matters is effort from heart that contributes to spreading kindness. A billion years ago, my dad took 7 year old me on a hike, and we ended up going so far that we needed to hitch a ride back to his car. We stuck our thumbs out, and I watched dozens of drivers in huge, expensive, empty cars roll right past us: a dad with his cute little daughter, clearly no threat. I was puzzled and disappointed. Finally, a beat up old station wagon pulls up with a dozen kids crammed in, and their dad invited us to squeeze in. They drove us to our car, with big smiles and lots of laughs, the universal language, which was the only one we shared. That experience was a big lesson for me.

My cousin and I broke down going through a steep canyon. We hitched and finally a van that was barely making it pulled off to help. I knew it would be a challenge for them to get their stopped van going again, but they didn't hesitate.

Sending you love. When I get sick of being sad but don't have the material to be "happy," I just get mad. There's plenty, all you gotta do is look around at the world and realize how many stupid and evil people there are, then you realize that underneath the sadness is peace and a contentment unfound in idiots. (I assume you're not an idiot. ..) The stronghold of life is truth and sometimes there is a sorrow in truth and a beauty in sadness. You may be a word mimic who knows nothing about this, or you may know exactly what I mean. I know in true clinical depression, comments are not something people engage in. Brighten up. I send you love and if you reject it, may it go to where it's needed most. If you accept it, I send you more.

It's so incredibly nice to see that there are people who give other people things, money, or whatever to help. I have also often helped others with monetary donations. They made almost no money at all. One good girlfriend of mine (we were just friends) even had to sell her car because she didn't make enough money to maintain it. Most of the money went to renting the apartment. I always helped her with her shopping, often invited her to eat in restaurants - of course I paid her bill. She is such a lovely young woman. I just loved being there for her. Then there was a 16 Years old girl - her name was Justine - she was a good friend of my cousin. Her parents were divorced, lived with her mother and stepfather. Her parents had never done any recreational activities with her. We got talking and came up with the idea of ​​going to an amusement park. But Justine suddenly looked very sad and said she couldn't come with us because she didn't have any money for it and her parents didn't get any either. I then personally asked her to come with us and that I would buy her the ticket. She didn't believe that I would pay for her ticket - but when we were there and I gave her the ticket, she jumped at me crying with joy and hugged me really tight. You couldn't even slide a piece of paper between us. That moved me to tears myself. And yes, of course I also paid for her food and drink at the amusement park. It was the first time I had seen her so happy. I have already given some of my packed food to one or the other homeless person during my lunch break. A banana, tomatoes, kiwi, salami bread and some water. It was too much for me and I preferred to give it away before it went bad. I also collected an absolutely unknown girl who was standing in the pouring rain next to a country road and drove her to her desired destination (~4 Miles). She was very grateful to me. She had been standing in the rain for a while, no one had stopped to pick her up. She also gave me a good hug at the end as a big thank you.

Dawson and Juan had normal jobs with which they did not earn enough to give back to the community. Without making give back videos on KZbin Juan couldnt have paid other peoples rent or gave cars to people who needed one. If they gave in secret they would never have made enough money to pay for peoples rent or buy cars for people who needed them. Now they are in a cycle of making enough money to support themselves and give back. Otherwise they would be doing their old jobs and not have enough money to giving anything back to the community, so giving in secret does not work in these cases.

I do agree that doing it for "likes" or whatever has it's issues BUT I would WAY rather see these people doing genuinely good things- even if for "likes" than doing stupid things, pranks etc. These people ARE going to exist regardless, I would far rather see them doing genuine good and showing that so that the people that folow and "like" them want to do similar, than seeing nothing at all. I think the world needs more positive, regardless of how we get there.

I've been saying the same thing, just take one or more million from every celebrity in L.A and in an organized fashion fix the homeless situation on Skid Row. That would be so incredibly easy to do. They could even build a high rise and give a small apt to every homeless person there with the goal that they maintain it, and others clean themselves up and get a job. A lot can't because they don't have a home address and/or bank account. So much can be done with the help of the wealthy....can anyone say (Kardashians-no way do they need all that money for doing nothing!!)

It's like when I give a homeless person a five or ten. Once my brother-in-law was with me and when I gave the beggar a ten, he said the guy would just use it to by booze. I told him that may be but I felt good giving it to him.

All it takes to make people happy is to walk up to someone who has little to nothing or is working so hard for very little is to give them a blanket, a meal and a drink, a gift card for food or groceries, or an umbrella in the rain. You don't have to give a ton of money.

Many of these types of videos aren’t really acts of kindness, but are acts of virtue signalling. “Look at me. I’m a good person.” And then put it on social media. The act of giving is still done, but not entirely from the goodness of their hearts. Still, it’s an emotional video.

you can tell which ones...the ones in foreign countries where the picture is far away and grainy, those are genuine. Mind you if social media will bring these people more money that they can go help more people with, then I'm for it. Tough thing to prove though...as I said earlier one million from a few celebs would go a hell of a long way to the people living on the street as long as it was done in an organized way. Look at skid row yet a couple blocks away you have millions and millions and they can't clean up skid row?? Makes no sense.

It's a different philosophy - private vs socialised, individual vs community. I live in England and am content to pay higher taxes and National Insurance contributions which fund the NHS medical care free at the point of need, welfare benefits, and state pensions (thankfully I have rarely needed these benefits yet, but one day....)

There are KZbinrs like Bigdawstv and Thatwasepic that give back to their communities, but also make a living out of it. Before KZbin they had normal jobs and couldnt afford to give back to their community. Thatwasepic went door to door paying peoples rent and bought out an entire skate shop to give over 100 kids a skateboard at the skatepark and he films it which brings in money to give more back to people. If he didnt film it, he would not have the money to give back to the community.

@@2012inca Exactly. It doesn't have to be a negative thing IF people are making enough to do both. These people have genuine influence, whether some of us like it or not, and if they are doing good, and showing good, that is far better than what a LOT of people are doing these days. Especially with our world being as scary and as hard as it is. I would rather these kids/people get "likes" and make money from doing actual good, and inspiring others to do the same, than them making stupid prank videos and whatever else (and teaching that to the youth that follow them) Good is always a good thing.

You say this is better than stupid pranks, but these two guys made these KZbin channel big with real funny pranks otherwise Bigdaws wouldnt have had 8 million subscribers and Thatwasepic 6 million. Doing funny pranks on their channel made it possible for them to give back to people in need. You have stupid pranks and you have funny pranks millions of people enjoy, there is a big difference when they are actually funny and entertaining.
