You know the worst part about being poor is struggling so much to help yourself that you can’t help others no matter how hard you want to. A lot of days I sacrifice my own well being just to help others, because the feeling is sometimes better than eating. I hope that one day we can all live in peace and no longer have to worry about surviving, that way we can truly live.

It’s not a question about being a good person by helping others, it’s about you being a good person in yourself. I don’t help others to gain brownie points, I do it because it’s the right thing to do and to hold on to humanity. It’s easy to have a go at a child for doing bad/wrong things, but nobody looks at the child’s upbringing. I’ve been so fortunate to have a brilliant beautiful mother and her legacy, me being kind to the world around me. My wish, unity amongst the human race and we taking good care of our world and everything that she cherish

A couple of years back I had nurses coming to clean and change the dressings on my legs... one day I had cooked some pea and ham soup... I asked the nurse if she wanted some I put in a cup for her... it was a cold winter day...they are not meant to accept anything off patients/clients but she did this particular day as it was cold and she said it smelt so good lol but she loved it and I knew she had eaten something that day.
