Deb, for your water activated eyeliners, can they be used in the waterline? I ask because I can’t tell if you used a eyeliner pencil or your eyeliner. And you are right about the colorism problem in our community. It makes no sense. In my family, they range from so light that they could pass as white to so dark that they look almost blue. No one’s undertone is the same. I have a yellow undertone, my mother has a blue undertone, and my father had a red undertone, and each of us are dark skin. My grandma was fair and she used to tell me “Black people come in all shades. Black is Black. As long as you are Black, then you hold the crown of true beauty.” 🥰 And Deb, don’t be hard on yourself. I’m new to your channel. I just stumbled across you. I’m also still learning how to do makeup and new techniques, so I’m going “back in time” with your videos. LOL - I love EVERYTHING about your professionalism, your transparency, and your creativity is TOP TIER!!! I want to thank you for ALL your hard work, and just stay prayed up, hun. 18:32 "Why would I only come out with black shades? That's not... That's literally being hypocritical to the white brands that do that to us." I have so many mixed emotions. This means you TRUELY want it to end. So many generations before us wanted to stop suffering, and for there voice to be heard. Black women wanted a position in media, too. And we wanted beauty brands to market to us, too, because we were customers! I believe that there are a lot of older generations that not only wanted better life, they wanted to get even. They wanted it to be in reverse. I think that wanting it to stop completely (even if it means will have to be the bigger man (or woman in this case 😆) is to hope that we can end it FOR GOOD. It will hurt, but I feel like this is powerful. This is a very unique way of thinking. I don't care if no one supports this statement, because I do. So many people will say, "Yeah, but we had nothing! Why should we market towards them when they have their own brands?" Yeah, they do have their own brands. Brands that they did not want to include black women a part of. I understand that, but maybe this could change things? I've never seen anyone try this yet! 🙂

I wish I could contact you and see you via zoom, Skype whatever so you could look at me and tell me what shade foundation I should use. I'm so fed up of these yt beauty assistants at store giving me all sorts of shades that NEVER MATCH. I went I to Mac 4 times in 2 weeks and I was given 4 different shades ! Each time a different shade! I'm fed up of the bs!
