titanium is advertised as such a strong material, how does this happen

Boost logic is known for getting cracks in their exhaust. More than likely quality control issues with the welding process. Awesome exhaust still.

Titanium itself is really strong. It’s the welds that doesn’t hold up. Any Ti exhaust will crack if welds are weak. Tomei exhaust too for example is notorious for cracking afaik in subies. Vibration and subpar weld are always the culprit unless you slammed and scraping the exhaust that’s a different story.
