Random gemstone discussion: Peridot, using science to up the odds when buying online

Won me a peridot at a wonderful price online last week, and it just arrived. I figured I'd give some advice on how you can buy gems somewhat safely online. you might have to do alot of returns. but I did begin the vetting process of this vendor, and I'll be watching them for the next good deal

Absolutely beautiful stone! It's my granddaughter's birthstone. I have a tiny emerald cut one that I'm going to try and wrap for her birthday. Wish me luck!

It is huh! It weighed 6.55ct, which I was pretty pleased with for sure. It's funny cause the seller has like 6ct citrine for the same price and they sre asking too much for those. But this is not a quartz lol. Hopefully they will list something like it again soon
