It takes me 25-30 minutes sometimes to matchmake and play ONE game where my teammates just quit midway or get butthurt after you miss them for one three, for an open layup. I really think once you matchmake, you shouldn’t be able to leave the lobby once you’re in it. That’s the most frustrating part of random rec. But however once you find some great teammates, it all makes up for it.

2K should implement Skill-Based Matchmaking. Let the casuals play with & against other bums. Also, make an overall base requirement level to enter the REC.. nobody should be forced to spend 25-30 minutes of their time playing with a dude that can’t contribute anything offensively or defensively to the team because their build isn’t physically capable of playing on any side of the floor. Some days I just want to take a break from the PRO-AM and relax by going in the REC by myself but I can’t because I have to worry about the competency of my teammates.

I feel like small guards were really good this year. Had a 6'1 PG and between the dribbling, threes, and the plethora of layups you can do (floaters and scoops were my go to). Like working the PnR and attacking the big downhill got me so many open middies or floaters, then once they started stepping up, the roller assists were even easier

Centre might suck but popping play take isn’t an issue. He doesn’t need to actually throw the pass for the shooter to get a boost. It’s just an auto boost to the whole teams stats, and you all get your own takeovers faster. It’s really the best takeover for a centre, especially if he can’t score anyway
