I really enjoy this concept but I would like to see it either with just Reckful or have guests who really do know about business enough to recognize an invest-able opportunity. Reckful needs to understand the practicality and likelihood of return in his investment, Poki needs a presentation that captures her emotionally.

@CombobreakerDe4 жыл бұрын
I like the arcade stick idea. Even if there are sticks for 20$ from china, I don't think the price should be the selling point, but the wood. A quick search on amazon doesn't bring up any wooden ones, just cheap looking plastic stuff. And if he can get better looking wood, make it look better and still sell them for 80-100 bucks, I think he could get some customers. Especially because each stick is handcrafted and unique. Also he could show how it's done and sell DIY kits (just the parts and pre-cut wood) and assembled ones. I think this could work out.
@Mell0wY3ll0w4 жыл бұрын
The prices were way off. Theres no way hes making them in a 1/2 hour. He will last a day or two at 5 hours. Assemble time is short but prepping the wood would take hours on hours.
@tiffanylastinger39253 жыл бұрын
Also to add the wood can be stained to look better and the wood is better overall from an environmental standpoint
@kevkong4 жыл бұрын
The format is cool, here is an idea how to improve: Include audience by giving people the chance to challenge the idea presented. I myself for example build some arcade sticks and know a thing or two about the topic. It seemed like you both did not know too much about the product and I sat here with at least 5 additional questions to challenge his idea. You could even turn people who are good challengers, because of expertise, knowledge and capability to communicate into regulars for certain topics. Would love to watch the show. One person pitching, two to three people challenging the product and two people judging from a business standpoint and have the final decision.
@_nilleke_4 жыл бұрын
I enjoyed the type of content but people need more time to prepare and proof of concepts/prototypes definitely help. The 2nd guy didn't need 10k for the idea he pitched but it can be used for researching similar but better ideas. But he definitely should look into making DIY kits where people don't have to drill or solder themselves. Then make a website where people can pick the different parts (like colors of buttons, grips for the stick, etc). Chat is right when they say there is a lot of competition (even cheap ones) that have better finished products. *But something that is missing on the market is controllers for people with a disability (they need bigger controls and different layouts). Recently there was a news articles about a dad that made a Nintendo switch controller for his daughter with a disability to play Zelda BotW. Several console manufacturers showed interest so they might make one themselves but for people with a disability there often is no one-controller-fits-all. A system to customize the controller layout yourself (different sizes of controller boards where you snap in buttons) would benefit both gamers with a disability and gamers who like customization (custom painting, custom 3d printed shapes, etc).* The 3rd guy: Firefox already has Picture-in-Picture mode built into the browser (always top layer and no need to be focused on that browser tab). I use it for both KZbin and Twitch. Making his extension kinda pointless (in it's current state it does less than the builtin feature). Besides the builtin feature there are hundreds of similar extensions that work on both desktop and mobile. Both Twitch and KZbin also have both email, app and browser notifications. It's really easy for websites to implement browser notifications.

The problem with the 2nd guy is that he never did a finished product only a demo, and im not sure about how big the market is for hit boxes. if on the other hand your doing custom controllers which you can commission custom art or make them custom per user then you can get more out of each order.

So cringe watching Poki try to pretend she understands what Wireshark is or have any idea whatsoever on how to invest, she never intended on doing shit it was for the clout. Reckful is a champ always.

I really liked this content, but tbh I was annoyed by Poki. I feel like she would never invest in anything from these viewers at all. I liked your moderator's comments more actually :D But, I liked the 'basic' podcast with Poki.

I think this series would be better if the candidates were vetted on their ideas. It was kind of hard watching people pitch things that didn't make sense or things that already existed.
