Most of the time, people who are making fun of or criticising us foreigners and our accent/English are often people who can't actually speak any second language. So always remember that and don't even let them upset you. You are great!

Luisa Kočvarová Agree, but not entirely true. I remember hiring a nanny for my daughter who read to her. One day, walking past her bedroom, I overheard the nanny mispronouncing a word. I immediately stopped her. My parents were foreign, and my father had a strong English accent that made me uncomfortable amongst my friends who spoke impeccable English. As a polyglot who speaks 5 languages, made a concerted effort to master and perfect the English language. I sent my daughter to elocution classes and to a good school. It really made a difference. Speaking well is imperative if you mix in specific circles. Mistakes will be criticized, especially on social media. People are cruel and that's a reality.

I speak 5 languages too and my parents speak with an accent, they are immigrants. I never felt ashamed of their accent and would never judge anyone because of their accent.

Can't believe some people told you that you should improve your English before expressing yourself... my God... your accent is not an imperfection, it's part of yourself and your identity and its beautiful! And as you said people who are following you normally know your story, where you're from and your personality and that's what they love! So rude that someone told you that! I had friends from Russia and Azerbaijan in university and going from Russian to English specifically is very difficult to do. And you speak English very comfortably! Sometimes you have to go abroad to experience this feeling. I'm from the US and I just moved to Germany for graduate school. I'm learning German as I go and it's so difficult to learn as an adult. You realize that you take a lot of daily things for granted, like easily making appointments, reading things in the store, etc. It takes a lot of hard work to get to the point where you're at now.

I love Jo Malone. I have the French lime blossom fragrance which is very crisp. I also have the dark amber & ginger lily and my fav-myrrh & tonka. I spray the fragrance into the air at about chest level and walk into it when fully dressed. I do the same behind me and walk backwards into it. Then I spray on my wrists, rub them together & bring them behind my ear lobes. I sometimes am sensitive to ingredients so this way my skin isn't in touch with the product for a long time.

Oh Vita i had a few situations myself ( Russian girl living in Australia) when a few individuals criticised my accent. However my response was straight forward: “ If you don’t understand my English I’d be delightful to speak on Russian to you, but I assume you have no fucking idea how to pronounce one single word on Russian?
