I played tot on the way to a pinehurst trip and played tobacco road on the way back! You can tell that strantz designed both, but tobacco is more sandy and tot is more rocky. Both great courses!

Rematch for sure...on the back nine! Played Tobacco back in April of this year and shot an 92 (9handi), very tough course the first time. Its a track you have to play twice..and thats it! Loved it for sure! Great staff and scenery for sure challenging without question,target golf like my courses out here in Phoenix.

Loved the video. Tobacco is definitely on my bucket list. Finally got down to single digit hc, and I would love to upgrade from gi irons to the next level. That Takomo mixed set would be the ones I believe.

Takomo Have played TR a few times. What you don’t see except Charl’s approach on 9 is how uneven the fairways are. I never seemed to find a flat lie anywhere. Enjoyed the video.

As I play I find that tempo is the key to golf swing. The harder and rarer you swing you are just putting more spin on the ball and will not gain any valuable distance.

We played pinehurst 2, 4, 7 and 10. This was our farewell course. We had to leave on 14 because we were on pace for a 7hr round and the clubhouse was rude. We had 5PM flights our of Raleigh and a 9AM tee time and we couldn't finish.

Takomo! Would love to see a rematch, Charl is the man. Met him at the Mad Scramble in Baltimore and he lead the group quite well. One of the most fun times I’ve ever had on a golf course, for sure. Y’all should play every Mike Strantz course as a series. Tot Hill Farm is about an hour from Tobacco and it just had major renovations to restore the course. Then there are two Strantz courses in Virginia that are about 20 minutes apart (Stonehouse and Royal New Kent) that I’d recommend while you’re on the east coast! Cheers fellas 🤙🤙
