That windshield door is not just an escape hatch. It’s design to be operated with the door overhead if needed. 2 reasons would be if you are working with ground crew and need to communicate from inside the cab while operating the machine. Second reason would be if it’s hot outside and you need the extra Horse Power, you can kill your AC whip robs hp. Say if your pushing through a pig pile of material with the blade or you really need some strong digging or lifting strength. And all the models mentioned are tonnage designations, not hp. Good review though. You’ve got loading and unloading that beast down. I’m getting ready to purchase a machine in that size range.Looking at a Develon DX35z-7. Weighs in at 8,807. So about 400 pounds heavier but same hp. So very, very closes in performance. Probably wouldn’t notice a difference between the two.
